Incorrect order brought to table a number of times. Long wait for food - 35minutesFood cold and tasteless.Items that we asked to not be sent on plate due to allergies, was served on plate.Chewy meat.Childs sausage, chips and peas served in a bowl rather than plate, slightly odd! Ketchup added to kids meal, son doesnt eat ketchup.Absolute waste of money and ruined mothers day.Staff talk over you rather than listening to what you are saying. Never again.

Booked here for Sunday lunch with my mother and sister as my mother is over visiting us, so thought it would be nice to go locally. Arrived and found our table as there was no one to ask about a booking and sat down. After 10 minutes a girl in a plaid skirt came over and we asked for a wine list. She brought us the menu which also had the Sunday food menu on the back very promptly which was great. After another 20 minutes no one had come near us to even take a drinks order even though the girl in the plaid skirt was bringing drinks etc to tables near us, so I decided to go to the bar. When I said I’d like to order food I was told at the bar that they had put a hold on taking food orders as the kitchen was extremely busy. Even though we waited half an hour and no one came near us that was tolerable but that just tipped things over the edge. At what point would someone have come and told us they would not be taking food orders. Extremely poor service. So I got us a bottle of wine as the guy behind the bar said that “hopefully” in half an hour they would start taking food orders again and he would come and let us know. Fast forward half an hour if not more and no one had come to us, yet the girl in the plaid skirt was taking a mains food order for the table behind us???? She eventually came up and asked if we were still waiting to be served (an hour after we sat down). Answer was no, we are going somewhere else. I understand places are busy or short staffed but by communicating it stops an issue like this escalating. But at no point once we received a menu were we even acknowledged. Such poor service. Even around us one guy that was sat waiting left as did a couple behind us. So overall I would avoid this place for food. Maybe for a drink but the service needs to improve drastically. So poor.

Well kept pub with plenty of seating space, good food and drinks -they also do a work from pub option with tea/coffee and lunch included for a fee. Lovely garden in summer and fire in winter!

Got a Pork Bell Roast but the pork was litrially just a cut of fat. The venue and staff were nice but the service was slow. Would have complained but was in a rush

A lovely venue suitable for families in the day. The staff are always friendly and the food is great. Yes you have to pay a bit more but it’s worth it for the portions and quality. There’s a great selection of drinks, it’s comfortable and clean. The staff are always close by in case you need anything. Special kudos for the Dan Dare wall paper in the gents.

Lovely pub. Very friendly staff and lovely food. A good relaxed manor, families welcome and you feel you can stay there for hours. Good food and get what you pay for. If you want to pay less then you'll get stuff frozen and heated up in an oven.
