Long Sunday roast day! e starters were prefect! Beef tongue on toast & scotch eggs 😋 Giant Yorkshire pudding accompanied e mains. All yummy!! Just have to bring the extra stomach along 😆

The duck we ordered was simply the best I have ever tasted. The service was impeccable with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. They've got it right in there.

Exceptional cooking. I took my mum here for her birthday and it is definitely an occasion. I had 2 courses and she had 3, an alcohol drink each and service which came to about £130. Very reasonable price! You would never know from the outside of this place how fantastic it is!!It is DEFINITELY deserving of their michelin star. I recently went to Hide, and I personally thought this was a lot better. The food was faultless.Service was good just nothing that stood out.I strongly recommend this place!

Every now and then I wish I could give a 6th star to a place - this is one of them. One of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. Everything was great - the food, the service and the ambiance. The manager Tyler was the friendliest and most helpful person - I wish everyone I talked to in life was like him. We tried a lot of things and everything was excellent. You cannot go wrong whatever you choose.

Food was good but unsure about Michelin level. Strange there was a course with crisps and the bread was so heavy like a cake. Beef was very tender though and scotch eggs and venison on toast were great!

What a night! Came in for my girlfriends birthday last Monday and was treated to an all round great experience. So often when you build an experience up in advance it tends to let you down, but not on this occasion! The service was fantastic from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and buzzing, the waiting team were friendly and knowledgeable and the food.... faultless!Altogether a wonderful experience, and will definitely be back again!

Our first visit (Friday afternoon) was such a success that we already booked the next one. The food and the service is awesome! The portions are big and the food feels like heaven in the mouth. Can’t wait to try Sunday roast.

Delicious roast Doe deer for a Sunday dinner. Very decadent, hefty portions with good yorkies, roast spuds and proper gravy. We went for our anniversary and they went above and beyond expectations; not only with an extra celebratory pudding but also presenting us with a card on arrival. The little touches make all the difference.Great service, lovely staff and nice decor.

What a nice gastropub. Location and food are outstanding. Service was a bit slow at times, but that is a minor point. Menu is fixed price and you get nice portion - you are quite full at the end of the meal. I have really enjoyed the experience and would definitely consider coming back for Sunday Roast. Strongly advice to book in advance.

First time here and been meaning to come for ages. Friendly, welcoming staff and a bright airy dining room made a good start to the 3 course Sunday lunch menu. The food was good but not outstanding but I think that's just the way with a roast. Starter of muntjac with pickles and a cheese/sweetcorn tart were very good and the pork main was well cooked but the dish too salty overall. The apple sauce was ruined by the addition of cinnamon. Vegetables excellent, potatoes had an oddly sweet flavour and the gravy was just ok. Desserts good but again slightly disappointing. I had really high hopes for this place and it would have only received 3 stars were it not for the attentive staff and that we were left to savour a good 2 hour time period when many others around were hurriedly served their 3 courses. I think a weekday booking would be best to experience the true nature of the kitchen
