Reopened recently. Beautiful refurb, clean and relaxed atmosphere.

Ok place for a drink. We didnt enjoy food. Nachos were wet and sloppy and had cucumber in it??! Burger was average.

My friend and I visited a few weeks ago for an early dinner and could not have been happier! The food is amazing! My friend had the salad and I had the gnocchi and I have craved that dish every day since! All the staff were lovely, particularly our server Hayden. I’m not often out in the area but when I am I’m coming straight back here.

Absolutely brilliant food, and staff.We went in there for Easter Sunday lunch. Really really nice, very fresh and good quality food, and very reasonable too. Plus the staff pit loads of chocolate eggs out for my girls to have an Easter egg hunt in the pub, they really went out their way to make us feel comfortable. Would highly recommend this place and the really friendly and attentive staff.

Service was excellent. Dishes came with generous portions. The fish and chips was great with a delicious beer batter. However, the prawn linguine we had was quite oily and over cooked, and was a low point on an otherwise quite pleasant dinner.

Very nice pub! We was in the area and popped in for a beer it was on a QPR match day so a good few fans were in the ground being just down the road! Everyone seemed friendly enough! Next time we're passing we will most definitely stop for a beer!

Queen Adelaide for Sunday lunch with some nearest and dearest. I had been encouraged by the soft, speakeasy candle-lit intimacy at sundown, so it definitely warranted a daytime venture.Exposed in the daylight, the interior does not match its peculiar but inviting outside appearance, which resonates a kind of fairyland mysticism like no other place around. Stepping through the door is swapping the extraordinary for the ordinary: greeted with a pretty standard bar and semi-smiling staff perhaps still recovering from the revelry of Saturday night.It doesn't feel like management have quite made up their mind about the interior: the kitchen is visible in a sort of canteen style, but is an unwelcome echo of clatter and chatter over a Sunday meal, and is a little jarring alongside the quaint wooden dining-hall features of an otherwise traditional pub. A slight vastness that at night is not felt.None of us were fully committed to a Sunday roast. We mainly went for fish & chips (myself), burgers and the like. The staff perked up after a short while and orders were taken attentively but patiently. I requested garden peas and extra mayonnaise and my requests were obliged heartily. The food was fresh and plentiful. The tartar sauce tasted closer to taztziki but was homemade, so scored extra points in my book. Both the fish and the chips were very crispy, which separately is fine, but together gave the dish a little too much oil.This neither stopped my from finishing my food, nor thinking twice to order a dessert and another pint. The sticky toffee pudding was tasty but pretty standard.Paying up, the only issue was that they had placed their 12.5% service charge on the drinks as well as the food. Whilst I'm not one to grumble about service charge in London, it seemed unfair to place a service charge on beverages we'd gone to the bar to order and collect ourselves. Other places do this as well but it helps to stand out with a little extra consideration.There is no question that I shall be returning to the Queen Adelaide, perhaps for evening drinks with friends or potential lovers, as that is what I think this establishment is most suited for. All considered, I think a 4/5 is fair. Thanks.
