Quiet when I arrived. Waited for about 10 minutes for my order (cod & chips). Friendly service. Meal was of a good size and tasty

Great experience, I got a takeaway. And I loved it. The fish was fried in a delicious batter and was mega crispy, and the chips were abit plain. But can be sorted with saltThe portion was abit small but would definitely come back again 😊

I have had takeaways from What The Fish last year during the height of the pandemic and it was always a delicious treat. Today I am inspired to leave my review after being treated so kindly by the manager and staff who were incredibly warm, welcoming and kind when I came in for a hot drink to warm up after being locking myself out my flat last night. It’s clear the owner really cares about the impact the restaurant has on the community. Looking forward to eating in sometime soon now we can!

This place has gone downhill since covid. No customers eating in. 3 female staff swearing in conversation with customers waiting for take away.Savaloy taken cold from a ban marie and put in the chip fryer for 20 seconds to heat it up. It was freezing within 30 seconds. The dog even turned his nose up at it.The prices have gone up but the quality is worse.The staff are awful now.You won’t ever get another penny from me.

If I'm in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to visit. The food was freshly cooked and the fish done just the way I like it. There were four of us and we spent around £42. Not important but the toilet is palatial.

This is a high end sit down fish and chip shop but the process aren't actually as high as you might expect. Really enjoyed the chips which were lovely and crisp and not soggy.Also had the cod fish cake which is literally a piece of freshly battered cod and not a pre frozen fish cake purchased elsewhere and cooked on site.Highly recommended and will be coming back if possible

Shocking experience. It was clear I came in for lunch deal and ordered fish and chips for £7 and they charged me full price. When I challenged they said I shouldve said. This to me is extremely dishonest despite their lunch menus stating the obvious everywhere in the shop. I'd strong recommend elsewhere on King Street. My bill was double what suppose to be. I use to live around here for 20 years and came in regularly when it opened and was all fine before, not anymore sadly. Absolutely shocking.-------------That was an extremely rude and poor response. I don't think the money was a problem, it's principle of doing business and simply taking advantage of customersYou're the only restaurant in West London I've come across like this. In fact I came in and no one served me until I had to actively go to the counter. To respond and say "reading mind" or "return food to staff" is frankly childish. Please keep the money and consider not only a customer gone, reputation also. All the best.

Brilliant food. Fish absolutely delightful and cooked to perfection. Not a spot of grease on the chips and service from Daisy better than first rate. Great food - lovely setting. Wonderful service. Well done. 6 stars from us

Cooked fresh and looked after me as the last order of the night -portions however are shrinking and going up in price... I suspect due to increasing rents & recent refurb shame as it means we'll eat from you less often!
