A really good evening with friends and delish food. I had Thai Coconut Chicken - perfect! (Haven't been in Banners for ages. I won't wait so long till the next time)

Went in for an impromptu breakfast as I was ahead my day's schedule.Sausages and black pudding were the real deal which makes a refreshing change. Sour dough bread was nice too. Some other reviewers need to take maths lessons, because my bill came to the same as the menu. Also not sure how many people in North London, who can afford to go out to eat, also don't have a bank card; but there you go. Sometimes you can't fix stupid. It's not often I order a cooked breakfast and don't begrudge paying for it because I can do better and cheaper at home, but these guys nailed it.

Food very good; tasty selection, generous portions and delicious. Ambience excellent in a shabby-chic way. Service was ultra-leisurely; just as well as we had lots of time to spare. Will be revisiting soon.

Great restaurant with great service, Alex our waiter was a lovely guy. Chatty and friendly, not overbearing at all. The food came in reasonable time and fashion. Really enjoyed my time here, thank you very much

Tasty jerk chicken. My partner's salt fish dish was a bit bland and quite small for the price. We found a string of thick curly hair in our popcorn starter. I am surprised they didn't offer a firmer apology or at least take the service charge off our bill as it was quite an off putting thing.

We were a group of 5, ordered drinks and food. The vegetarian curry was delicious but the carrot soup was tasteless. The waitresses were very friendly and warm but unfortunately the waitor was very cold and made us feel unwelcome. We got a feeling that we were annoying him and we felt really uncomfortabl. Sadly, we have no intentions of visiting again the restaurant

They always say don't trust a restaurant with a huge menu with lots of different cuisines on offer, but Banners is an exception to the rule. Here you can get trad caf, Thai, Jamaican and everything else in between and everything is delicious, considered, and hefty in portion. You won't leave hungry or unhappy.

Always a good meal here. The atmosphere and decor is particularly special here. A proper North London institution. Good bar, great friendly staff. Best for a group of friends catching up over dinner. Jerk chicken probably my go to dish here. Bar staff do proper cocktails. Also an option for breakfast (pancakes etc) or lunch (wraps etc).

I have been here in the past it was wonderful then I wasn't disappointed now! A lovely all day Vegetarian Breakfast for both of us with Sourdough toast for one and Gluten free toast for the other! Service was as always, mannered, professional and swift. A great meal out, so my advice what are you waiting for?

Loved the ambiance and food was delicious with generous portions. We ordered Goat Roti and Jerk Chicken, would recommend both!
