Home from Home. Karaoke and proper Cypriot food what more could you want?! Atmosphere is great and staff are lovely Really really enjoyable evening

The moment I walked into Mum's Bistro I could feel the warm and festive atmosphere, and knew I had come to a special place. The cosy room was filled with happy conversation, and the kind of  gentle and all-inclusive buzz that one feels when joining a family gathering. It was a cold night, and the slightly exotic, inviting smell of delicious food was a balm to my senses. I had come to Mum's for an evening of music, dished up by one of the very best folk organizations in London - The Bowes Park Folk Club. I was told to order my supper at the bar, and when I met the charming patron and his wife, the whole picture came together. Mum's Bistro is clearly a place where food is cooked and served with expertise, joy and love. No wonder it tasted absolutely delicious. Mums' Bistro is more than a wonderful restaurant - it's a complete experience, not to be missed.

The food is simple and nice, wine is rich and pleasant; perfect chicken and lamb, exactly what one would expect from a dish made at home with kind hands. The bistro owners - a wonderful married couple, and their bar man are very good people, they went out of their way to make the experience of being in the bistro personal and happy. It felt like being a part of a large Cypriot family. Definitely coming back.

Brilliant. Went with my wife tonight (Saturday 20th November) and it was Greek night and it was honestly better than all the times I've been to Cyprus and the Greek Islands. Live Greek music, great food, Greek Cypriot crowd with the ladies dancing and cheap to boot. Meze for two with soft drinks and Keo beers =£64. My double Ouzo and lemonade was on the house. Better than the local competition. Recommended absolutely.

Amazing restaurant, feels like I was in Cyprus and excellent food.

They're very lovely people, and it's clearly a fun venue for retirees.The food is cafeteria quality. Uninspiring.I did sample it through Too Good To Go, so it isn't the best the restaurant has to offer, however, it definitely wasn't good.I feel sorry, because they were really nice, and tried to accommodate, but I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you're interested in the quality of your food.Also, they use Styrofoam packaging. I am sure if you bring your own Tupperware they'll be happy to use that instead.

We ordered a “to good to go” order for a side dish with our tortillas and we found the place in route. We were given a vegetarian moussaka and veg rice which was delicious. The owner was friendly and inside looked very cosy with traditional decor. We would go again for “to good to go” only because they don’t serve halal red meat (only chicken). #bagatakeaway

Excellent and authentic Greek family-run restaurant. Cosy atmosphere, food is always delicious, and every Friday there are LIVE bands playing. I would highly recommend it!

Very good chicken kebap, the staff also very nice. Tasty Greek beer. We recommend it!

We had to wait at first, the poor chef had a massive order to deal with before us. Slight mis management hence only 4 stars not 5. We had to wait a lil while. However, once the food came it was lovely, freshly prepared and very acute service.
