We celebrated my wife's birthday as a group of around thirty, and had a marvellous evening thanks to Giulia and Ciro for helping us to organise the event and accompanying menu and wine selection. The classic Italian menu was delicious and our guests certainly seemed to enjoy themselves considering the great atmosphere that ensued. The management and staff were exemplary in the great service they provided. A great Italian gem in the heart of Crouch End!

We wanted to visit this place as it had been recommended to me.Upon arrival we were guided upstairs and we noticed that the handrail was greasy and sticky. Not the best first impression. There was another couple inside, and around 4 tables with around 10 people outside in the terrace. So they were not super busy. Our server was correct but the service was SUUUUUPER slow for no reason.I wanted to order some mafalde a la norcina but I was informed that they had run out of fennel sausage so I chose the ragu that you see in the picture.I loved that you can choose between 2 sizes of every pasta dish: starter and main. When our food arrived, the waitress had the thumb finger inside one of the plates. IN THE FOOD. The tip of the finger had tomato sauce from it... We did not complain because my partner was very hungry and didn't want to wait any longer for his food.Only the first slice of bread had parsley, oil... the rest were just dry-ish.The polenta fries were nice but a bit on the oily side.We ordered 2 desserts. When the first one arrived we were told the other was coming right away. 10 minutes after that, our server came back to tell us that she had forgotten to inform us that they didn't have the other one and apologised for it. I decided to leave it like that since I didn't want to wait any longer. We had to call our server's attention when we got the bill: they were charging 42£ for the bread (a mistake, obviously). To summarise: Average place with lots of room for improvement. I don't hate the place but I don't feel like going back or recommending it either. Maybe it was just an unfortunate day?

Would like to go back for a second try. They do have a lovely terrace though. We had the fried zucchini (a bit too salty but good) and some pasta.

Lovely location especially on a sunny day. Staff were very friendly and nice but service was far to slow. We initially ordered our wine which came 30 mins later and was red rather than white. Food then arrived and we were half way through before the correct drink arrived.. food was nice, pictured is the Carbonara. Only improvement point for the dish is it seemed to have bacon or super thin guanciale in. Personally I prefer a few more chunks ya knoBut yeah probably this can be a great place.

I have had the best courgette fritti in there, and I am a local in crouch end it's nice to find a place to meet up with friends. Also the front house staff was so friendly.

Came here last night with my partner, and we had an amazing time. A friend of us strongly raccomend it, because we are always looking for fresh pasta and we were not disappointed at all!The food is fresh and perfectly cooked, on top of that the staff was helpful and friendlyHighly recommended.

We joined them for news years eve, as did everyone else who was able to get in :-) it seemed, and although they were clearly under pressure because of this, it barely showed. Good service, excellent food and wine, and we rolled home happily to see in the 2022....which will include more visits to this great little restaurant.

Really really delicious food, and lovely staff! Can’t wait to go again 😊Would highly recommend the zucchini fritti and the polenta chips with ragu 😗👌 portion sizes were bigger than expected but I’m not complaining as we took home for lunch the next day.

A lovely spot with a welcoming and helpful staff. We hopped-in after being turned away by the snobby place next door (too many good places in Crouch End to need a membership to eat, chill or breathe the same air as old money) and before going to the movies. We asked if they had a last minute table with no reservation and 40 minutes tops to eat. They welcomed us kindly and delightfully despite large bookings coming soon. We challenged them further by ordering copiously and everything was delivered fast and nice. Top it up with the fact that the food ranged from great to wonderful (I could eat the zucchine every day, the gnocchis were really interesting) and that's what I call a win. We will definitely come back.

Excited to finally try this place out and to no disappointment. Such a cool little spot with a lively open kitchen-bar area and atmospheric top floor/balcony dining. A QR-code menu (bit bored of these...) walks you through a myriad of authenic and innovative Italian dishes and side dishes. Don't limit yourself to a main each, double down on small plates and sides - so many good options. The pasta was to die for, the simplicity, yet deliverability still surprises me. Parmesan & truffle chips are a must, even if they don’t quite compliment your main. We didn’t quite have room for the infamous tiramisu but it looked delicious. Be sure to complete with a limoncello.. One side down point would be the late cover we had meant that service was a bit delayed and one dish was too late and eventually offered gratuite.
