We ordered the special fish, fried rice, house special satay and laksa soup. As a Malaysian, I would say the menu is kind of authentic though there are some slight deviations which I found to be unique such as the special fish served with satay peanut sauce. The rice cubes served with satay was also much smaller than what we get at home and the satay did not have that nice char. The peanut sauce was also slightly underwhelming due to the lack of chili. Other than that, the nasi goreng (fried rice) and other dishes were very affordable for what you get and tasty! I think we may have ordered the wrong stuff so I am very intrigued to try again and support this cute Malaysian gem!! <33 :) I also really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurent as I got to see people enjoy Malaysian food!! One slight qualm was some questionable service as the waitress was kind of moody but the Auntie was so sweet!

The staff are so friendly and welcoming! They stayed open longer and didn’t rush me and I ended up feeling so bad because I realised it was so late and I asked them what time do you finish and she said ‘30 mins ago”. This just showed me how they really care and the food was homely and tasty thank you! I will keep coming in again, the service and food was refreshing 🙏❤️

Since I have travelled Malaysia I have not had a decent beef rangdang ANYWHERE! BUT FML this place is the best by far... come here eat be satisfied and then look at the bill and wonder if they have missed items off it! So we'll priced... food so good! 100 percent recommend

What a hidden gem! If you are a fan of saté do not miss this place when visiting London! Incredible authentic Malaysian food, good veggie options, and all for a really good price!

We were so disappointed how they overcharged us for the bill. Their Satay fish advertised as £9.50 but they charged us £12.50. When we tell them we have been overcharged, they simply tell us it's now £12.50.. or if we want to cancel the order.. without any apology.. By law, we should pay for what is advertised on the menu. Not charging us higher price without telling us at all. This is very dishonest way of making business. They can keep doing the same trick to other customers.

Wonderfully tasty meal, great value for money, friendly helpful service. Plenty of free parking in the road behind after 6:30pm

I have lived in North London all my life and have been going to Penang Satay House for over year. Dining at the restaurant and also having delivery take aways to my house.I can say that the food if of good quality and has a traditional authentic taste which is hard to find lately. The restaurant has been there for over 35 years hence giving good taste to the dishes.Another advantage is that owner has said that the chicken and beef is halal. Also when they cook they use different pans and utensils to cook these dishes.

Good food & great value for money. Starters are delicious especially the mix satay & Hoisin duck. Beef rendang was nice. Nasi Goreng could’ve been seasoned better. The Crispy Noodles I didn’t like at all so wouldn’t recommend. Great service too.
