Sakoni in Harrow

I am not the one to write reviews but I could not be quite about it. The place was complete rip-off on my visit today. Firstly, they tried charge me an adult rare for buffet for a child. When I argued about it, they added £5.10 for eat-in for a buffet. It’s a buffet for god sake !!! Not happy !!! Not going there again. They have lost a customer by being too greedy.

Amazing food. Great service. Any items needing refreshing in the buffet would be on request, even on a slow night. Couldn't recommend it more.

Very Good Indian vegetarian food. Currently offer Tuesdays Wednesdays unlimited for £9. Many varieties.

Good value midweek meal from the buffet. Generally tasty as a whole, though I could have done with a spicy chutney or sauce on the side.Service was poor though, despite sitting near the till for a hour, no member of staff took a drinks order, despite other tables being asked.Food, 4/5Service, 2/5

Visited the harrow branch after two years and the food and service was very good. The service was amazing, the food came on time and we were served very well. They catered very well from for my daughter with both nuts and gluten allergy. We will be going back here regularly again for sure.

Almost all the dishes were loaded with MSG and very little authentic flavors in the food. The restaurant advertises that they open at 12.00 but the buffet was not ready until 12.30. Refills were very very slow. Only enjoyed the dosa which did not have MSG.

Really poor selection of choice on the buffet. Staff are uninterested in the customers and seem not to have much courtesy either. They just walk around with a bossy attitude with the stupid masks on so we can't even see their reactions properly.I ordered a plate of Biryani which arrived after some time. It was bland and more on the cold side. The fruit juice I ordered was wateryStaff not interested in taking responsibility. I don't think they understand English very well and certainly to not understand the etiquette of England - not much experience of living in England I expect hence the lack of respecting the customerSuch a disappointing culture leaves a bad taste.I don't recommend this restaurant

I've been going to Harrow branch of Sakonis for few years now and they never disappoint.Went recent as yesterday to the Wed half price buffet and for what you pay for, its excellent value for money. The best items in this were: Crispy bhajia, Bhel, Dai wada, Dhokla, Chilli Tofu, Pizza and Sri kand. Yes some items were ok in terms of taste, which can be improved hence why I have given 4 star review. The cleanliness has also improved in 2022, and saw new tables.Message to owner and recommendation: your buffet for the price is really good on Tues/Wed. What we would like to see is the buffet items not just left there in lark quantity in bulk for few hours as items can become stale. For this, recommendation is to put only small amounts and refresh everytime as you go along as, when need arises. Not only will the food be fresh for consumers and they get hot tasty food, but there will be less food wastage, which is really critical not just for businesses but also for ethical reasons.In terms of service, yes when its busy it can be slow but staff always try hard. I forgot her name, but the Sri lankan lady manager is really nice and gives good service always (we asked for Chilli Tofu once as its normally in the buffet but wasn't on that day and she went out of her way to accommodate us).Overall, with few improvements on taste and freshness of buffet items, the restaurant will flourish

Loved the variety. Having different food from north and south India was nice and also the non Indian too. Taste was ok. Not very clean though I had to personally clean my plate, cutlery and other things I used. There were still oil stains on the chutney bowls. Generally OK.

Good range in the Tuesday veggie buffet with half price drinks, good variety of lassis and milkshakes and very attentive staff
