We used to love this place for its tasty Sri Lankan meals and have been there tons of time! However after the lockdown, our return to Sambal Diner didn’t gave us the same feeling instead the experience was unwelcoming with blunt food and dull customer service. Their standard has gone down sadly. We have ordered 2 chicken biryanis but for our surprise ,There is no Chicken piece , when asked , we have told that due to the portion size!? they don't add a chicken piece, instead we have find few tasteless tiny chicken cubes mixed up in the rice, which is more looks like a fried rice than a biryani. Its a massive drop in quality of food and customer service of the restaurant, Staff are not interested, to talk or serve the customers. Management defiantly need to take action to reinforce the former standard of this place. Not sure if we return back anytime soon, highly disappointed!!!

Best Srilankan restaurant in South Harrow. This restaurant never disappoints me. The food is tasty and is served super hot. My favourite dish is flaky parota n chicken curry. Have tried their Rasam, the quantity was enough for 2 people, it was super hot and awesome spicy. Mutton rolls were amazing. Chicken biryani was moist ,with right amount of spices.Dining here doesn't cut a hole in your pocket , so do visit.

One of my favourite places to eat for many years now. Fantastic, spicy vegetarian choices (and plenty of meat and fish ones if that's what you like) at a very decent price. Lunch specials served on the weekends and a pint of their Lion Stout is always a good shout :)

Food was OK, prices are reasonable and generous. Waiting staff is nice. Interiors are old and worn out. The place is in need of some modernization but considering the quality of food and prices it is recommended.

A small typical SriLankan restaurant. Great quality food and really good prices!! They cook when you order, it will take some time to be served but it worth. It’s not possible to book a table, but generally there is no problem to find a place. I recommend Kotthu, fried rices, and Doosa! They have also kids meal with Chicken Nuggets, Chips &Juice.

I had masala dosa and sri lanka chicken curry. It was fine and quick service too.

Fell in love with the food. Fantastic Sri Lankan food. Friendly service. Will definitely be back more often. Love their hoppers the most. Every dish was so delicious.

Meg and I had Sunday lunch here. We had a rather good Mutton Biryani and Chicken Biryani this afternoon 12 May 2019. The service was quick, friendly and every effort made to ensure our enjoyment. The restaurant was busy yet comfortable. The atmosphere was culturally Sri Lankan and rather authentic we felt. The score would have been higher but we were both disappointed with male and female toilet hygiene and their basic cleanliness, what a pity. We will return if toilets clean and all other things equal we will award max points. Visit and discover for yourself.
