The Orchid lounge in Harrow

Went for afternoon tea as a treat after my wife's graduation ceremony at the Barbican. What wonderful food and service! An amazing selection of beautiful tastes and sights starting with a tangy amuse bouche that appeared to be a raw egg but was actually a mango puree in a lime syrup, followed by sandwiches, scones with a coconut jam (who knew you could make jam from coconuts?!) and then a selection of four beautiful cakes that looked amazing and which tasted divine. What else could you expect from Cherish Finden, judge on Bake Off, The Professionals? Very attentive but not oppressive service. Only one criticism - the sofa was too low and the table difficult to get your feet under but that was just a very minor gripe about a really memorable occasion.

Excellent service with a great tea sommelier who is super friendly and knowledgeable! It was for mother's Day occasion and it was a fantastic experience with really delicious food. We will be back for sure!

If I could give more stars, I would. We booked for the afternoon tea, Chinese New Year experience for my mothers 60th birthday and was not left disappointed. The service was excellent, no rushing to get you in and out. We were able to enjoy and appreciate each part of the meal.

Amazing afternoon tea experience at the orchid lounge , food was exceptional especially the pork char Sui bun and dumpling. Service was first class , Dario was really attentive and friendly along with all the other staff. Could not have asked for a nicer afternoon on a Sunday.

Quite the Afternoon Tea experience at this Singaporean hotel. We went for the Asian choice for a change and enjoyed the twist on this classic indulgence. Definitely one for a special occasion!

Service was exceptional. Each and every person from the doorman to anyone who served us food and drinks was amazing. The high tea, one of the best we have ever had. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

I highly recommend the afternoon tea. It was a totally different experience to traditional afternoon tea. You could see the amount of love that Cherish put into each dish and when she came round to explain the story behind the dishes this made the experience even more special. The servers and extremely friendly and attentive which added to the overall, enjoyable afternoon.With traditional afternoon teas I find that I am full before being able to experience the full menu but with Afternoon Tea at The Orchid Lounge it was just right.The only reason I have not given 5* review is because of the seating. The sofas were comfy but too wide to be able to lean back against. The chairs were slightly hard. BUT it was the position of the table which made it the most uncomfortable. The table was knee height so there was a lot of bending forward and down which lead to an uncomfortable experience and the start of aching backs. I would love to take my mom but she would not be able to cope with the seating arrangement.Overall I would definitely say go and experience the food! It is a must! Just be wary of your back.

Amazing service. Great experience.. Best afternoon tea weve ever experienced

We spent a glorious weekend at the newly opened Pan Pacific London.When we found out it was opening, we jumped at the opportunity to have an authentic Singaporean foodie weekend given the pandemic prevented our travel back to Singapore (I’m Singaporean) in 2020 and 2021.The Ginger Lily cocktail bar and Straits Kitchen were brilliant, but the highlight was our afternoon tea at the Orchid Lounge. Every member of the service team from front of house to our tea sommelier Matthew and amazing pastry chef Cherish Finden ensured our experience was second to none. While each item was superb, my personal favourite was the curry puff, and chef Cherish had a piping hot fresh out of the oven one sent to our table when she found out how much I liked it.All in all probably one of the best London staycations we have had, and without a doubt one of the best afternoon teas in town. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back.

We had the best anniversary treat here. Cherish Finden and her team gave us the tastiest afternoon tea we have ever had. The flavours of a kopitiam but in such a luxurious setting. Every mouthful was as delicious as it was beautiful. Still can't believe we got to meet her. Trying to work out who we can take there for an excuse for round two 🥂🥟🍫
