Churchills in Havering

Cod is lovely from here however if you order Cod + Chips you barely any chips & even with everything going on in the world for the price they charge you would expect more for your £... your basically paying more for the brand name (Churchill's) than the actually food, Food is 9/10 Tastes Nice, Freshly Cooked but Overall 6.5/10 for everything else.

Lovely fresh food. But way to expensive for Collier Row. £5.50 for sausage and chips. £26.00 for fish and chips x2.Thats an absolute joke.

One of the best fish and chips shop with a great service and quality food.They also do a lunchtime special on cod & chips which is a perfect portion for that price.

Went to get some fish n chips on 20/11/21 at approx 16:00. Two staff who were preparing orders didn't even acknowledge me. I understand you are preparing orders but at least say I'll be with you shortly or something, just ignored me. I won't be going back there again.

Great proper chippie, not any other shop which happens to sell fish. I always have the plaice, which I am reliably informed takes 8 minutes to cook. Fresh and delicious with proper chips up to this Essex girl's standard. Yummy and a loyalty card too!!

One of my five portions of chips was not with my collected order. This was rectified when I returned. Found a small stone embedded in a chip. Could have broken a tooth had I not been cautious. No incentive card offered. Saw the main cook examining bank notes then resuming his cooking duties without washing his hands. None of the staff members were wearing gloves. All were handling cash and food with little regard for hygiene. My server had her hair loose and wore no cap/hairnet. Not a great experience for me. The food was okay.

I would of given the place a 5 star, Paul the cook was great and Meghan too however the boss person (A lady who I have never met before who I believe is the owner or manager who wears a black uniform) spoilt the entire experience. Absolutely horrendous customer service, rude, obnoxious and ruined it all.Never going back and for the money you spend in there, on average around £30 for a family of 4-5 the Turkish next door will now be getting it!

Everyone enjoyed their food, especially the Cod. Sadly, a large chips, mushy peas and curry sauce was left out of our order, which is a shame as that's all I'd ordered for myself to eat. By the time we'd gotten home and realised, it wasn't worth the journey back to rectify!

The fish and chips ordered was very nice and really tasty. The only problem and its not the shops fault, is that parking on the high street is really difficult, and you get the scumbags smoking near your car when you are carrying food, and you don't want smoke going near you or the food, very disrespectful. Its the area but nothing to do with the shop. Churchills takes good pride in their fish and chips.

Food,Good chips, nice burgers, nice fish unfortunately the pie was cold on the inside and I had to put it in the microwave.Service,I ordered ahead using there app some times the food is ready for me when I arrive. Last night I had to wait an extra 10 mins after the app told me my food was ready..Parking,Can be a little difficult.Customer service,Friendly staff.I will return.
