Ginger Spice in Havering

I visited on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was fairly quiet, with a nice ambience and helpful and knowledgeable staff. A varied menu, but I felt the bill was a little on the expensive side. Things like chutneys and relishes (which are usually complimentary) were charged for, and a 12.5% service charge was automatically added. For six of us, the bill was nudging close to £200 with all the add-ons. I note they have a Wednesday night special of five dishes for £15, so I may give that a try next time.

Warm and pleasant environment that impressed us as soon as we arrived. Staff attentive, friendly and welcoming.The food was excellent with beautiful presentation.The food came out well timed between courses and the service was excellent. The restaurant also has a well stocked bar with a good range of cocktails.Would strongly recommend this restaurant.The only downside is that there is no restaurant parking available but nearby streets are restriction free in the evenings.All round a very enjoyable experience. AAA+

Delicious food, in Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani food. Lamb lazizi, lamb biryani, chicken masla, mixed grill, Saag Puneer, daal and vegetables and naan bread just definitely ginger spice. lovely service for my birthday.... Excellent location and parking was just cross the Road.

What a lovely restaurant, my sister had her birthday meal here for 12 of us, the staff were great, the food was excellent. Nice family evening. Thank you.

Was it a mistake though?All in all a good night, staff were attentive, and the food was good. We had 14 people at the restaurant.When the bill arrived they had "forgotten" to deduct the £140 deposit that we had already paid.Hopefully it was an oversight, but along with the £60 service charge they added to the total, this would have been a nice £200 tip if one of our party had not noticed. Just check your bill people

Fantastic dinner, flavoursome with good portion sizes and lovely service. Decor was really nice and they even put a birthday banner and confetti on the table which added a special touch for mums bday. Customer service perfect will definitely be back and the price was more than reasonable will definitely be going back 5 star from us thanks “Has” credits to you and your team we will definitely be booking into the tribute night

I love this place. The food is always very good. The hospitality is outstanding! Went there yesterday for my birthday and once again had a lovely time and food was excellant. I would recommend this place to everyone 😋😊

Definitely top quality customer service from the team. Accommodated 16 of us at 1 day notice. The restaurant itself very nice deco and very spacious, great venue for all special occasions also. Food wise got to try about 16 different dishes and honestly was good size but majority dishes lacked flavour that made you go wow this is good, like the chef's special are supposed to be unique to the restaurant but just not wow enough. Would visit again this time maybe with a few people cause we had 16 maybe they rushed the food.

We ordered chicken tikka, sheek kebabs & paneer tikka for starters, all dishes lacked flavour & portion sizes were absolutely tiny. Kebabs were small & only 2 pieces per portion & paneer was a measly 5 cubes. Not to mention the tikka was pretty oily, considering that a tikka is supposed to be cooked on a grill or charcoal. Main curry dishes were ok, nothing we would rush to order again. Expensive for what we ordered & definitely not an authentic Indian restaurant. Much better Indian restaurants around.
