Beyond friendly staff, excellent beer garden and beer is always clear and fresh.

Very nice and friendly family pub. Nice food, good value for money. I recommend this place.

Good ale ,reasonable prices and staff excellent. Only issue was with I presume were regulars,one of which called my friend a c### for having the temerity for looking in his direction!no drama ,just a idiot you find in most pubs I am afraid.

Nice local pub that is easy to get to by foot, if you live in Cranham or Upminster. We went on the day they had an Amy Winehouse tribute, who didn't have as many tattoos but she did sound like her. Got loads of people dancing anyway. Standard selection of beer for the area but that's fine. Just good to see people in there enjoying themselves.

Friendly pub with a lovely beer garden. They serve food but not much for a vegetarian or vegan. A little more effort with the menu and atmosphere it would get a 5

Popped in here for lunch on a weekend and sat in the big garden to enjoy some sun. Food was delicious, esp the halloumi fries - huge portion and soooo good! Also got a burger and pesto chicken wrap, wrap wasn't amazing but defs very generous with the chicken, great burger. Service was friendly and the garden is a lovely place to relax, very open, and lots of seating

Booked the marquee but it had been removed when we arrived so had to go inside the pub instead. Food was nice but it was really noisy so found it difficult to hold decent conversations. Shame really as this was our first group outing since lockdown.

The new owner has really turned this pub around. It used to be dark and oppressive and as a single lady I always felt uncomfortable walking in. Now my son and I love sitting in the garden together and seeing the lovely meadow garden. The food is great value and tastes fresh too. It really does have a friendly family feel about the place. I’m glad to now have a decent local pub for us to enjoy!
