Huntsman and Hounds in Havering

The food selection was great, very large menu.The quality was really good too and the food was delicious. Will be returning as our new family gathering meeting point every couple of months.

PoorOne person behind the bar on Father’s Day? A busy day. Waited 20 mins at the bar for a drink after being told no food was available by the barman! Clearly we weren’t a priority.Couldn’t get food even in the garden as they were too busy… try more staff?Lager shandy was basically beer flavoured lemonadeApple juice for a child came in a pint glass.I wouldn’t bother next time, disappointed.Garden was fairly nice and plenty of places to sit.

Food isn't bad at all, reasonably priced. Staff were very good on our visit and made sure we felt looked after even though it was quite busy.

Had a lovely meal. Very attentive chef, who took the time to check all was OK, especially as we had a nut allergy customer. She was given brand new bottle of ketchup, and freshly washed cutlery.

We held our dad's wake here and the staff were helpful, kind and courteous, nothing was too much trouble. We had a buffet which was a great variety of interesting and tasty plates; the mini Yorkshire puddings with sausage, mash and gravy were a delicious surprise. We were left in peace and not at all rushed. Thank you, Huntsman and Hounds.

Very nice staff and nice place. Open fire very welcoming. Young tall guy with a beard who works at the bar! Apologies didn't catch his name! Is very good at his job and is a credit to the establishment. Excellent. On my next visit I'll get his name and mention him in my next post.

Lovely pub in a nice area, staff not at all attentive, weren’t even shown to our table, just pointed in the direction! Hunters Chicken came without any barbecue sauce, when I told staff I was given some cold barbecue sauce, had to ask them to warm it up 🙄. Quite a few choices were off the menu.Asked if they could do Egg & chips for one member of the party, had to ask another member of staff, she made it sound like she was doing us a massive favour 🤦🏼‍♀️. Staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves. Won’t be returning.

This place can be lovely. I had a lovely meal on a Friday night, the food was much better than expected, the staff were attentative, the prices low.If driving here, remember to enter your car reg in the computer on arrival or you face receiving a parking ticket.

Booked and they Managed to accommodate 12 people and 2 babies on a Saturday afternoon. The food and service was excellent and even though I don’t live locally I will definitely be returning.

Really nice pub, went for a funeral wake and part of the pub was sectioned off. Got served really quickly at the bar. A good selection of lager and bitter. The toilet was up a staircase that was a bit of a climb but, there is an easy access toilet downstairs for people that can’t make the stairs which is a win win. Toilet was clean and smelt nice. All in all quite a nice place.
