Lovely location to have a drink and sit by the lake. Staff were friendly and the food looked good. We only had a couple of drinks which were fine. The only disgruntlement being the minimum ÂŁ10 card charge which is very high and a lot of others also mentioning. Apart from that everything was spot on.

Really nice café. Food is quite varied and coffee is decent. It's cooked and presented well. Portions are fairly generous. It's dog friendly too - they sell sausages for dogs plus dog biscuits and treats. Decor is beautiful and staff are friendly. Service is impeccable.

My husband & I decided to have lunch on a whim & we ordered a Cheese, Ham & mushroom omelette which came with chips, salad & coleslaw. The food was cooked really well & tasted very nice. The restaurant was clean and lovely, the unfortunate issue was due to a short light shower, diners outside came into the restaurant with their dogs which were running around underneath the tables. This aside, it was a very pleasant experience due to the friendless of staff and prompt delivery of our order with a smile from the waiting staff.

Very nice café by the water in Harrow lodge Park, Hornchurch. A good amount of seating inside and outside. They allow dogs inside and out. So very popular with dog owners. A downside is that they do not take bookings and it can get quite busy. The food is nice, with a good variety, reasonably priced. There are two ladies toilets inside, but they are quite narrow.

Food is generally what you would expect from a cafe. Nice but nothing special. However this is probably the worst service I’ve ever experienced. Went in around 12pm to order 1 breakfast, 2 sandwiches and 2 poached eggs on toast. Cafe was generally busy so expected a bit of a wait. Got told to expect 40 mins. That’s a bit much but could understand with how busy it was. However, in the end we waited 1h 20 minutes for pretty standard food that shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes to prepare. I don’t care how busy the restaurant is, to wait this long for standard orders is nothing short of a disgrace.3 tables who came in after us got served long before our order came. When our orders did eventually arrive after a hefty wait, we didn’t receive no apology from the server or no sort of compensation for the time we waited for a basic order.Likely will not return. Should not be waiting 1h 20 mins in a cafe for food anywhere you go

Breakfast was very nice only complaint I have was the bacon was burnt to a crisp I like my bacon well done but not that well done. Sausages were good quality and the bread was nice fresh doorsteps. Eggs were cooked perfectly and mushrooms were fresh cooked too. They have a massive runners meet over the park and the place becomes absolutely mobbed after 9.45 am every Saturday when they all finish running. Get there before then otherwise you will wait ages for food. The queues are out the door so you have a load of sweaty runners standing around you while you sit down trying to eat your breakfast which isn't pleasant but despite that it's a lovely place to have breakfast or a coffee any other time. If the Bacon wasn't burnt there would be the extra star.

The lake view Cafe is quite q serene atmosphere situated right in the middle of Harrow Lodge Park.Having gone for a walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery you can relax and take in the lovely well kept view of Ducks on the lake. The staff are very lovely and accomodating, they even sell dog treats for your dog.I love the cafe interior, nice, simple and creative.

Lovely cafe by the lake serving reasonably priced British food. A plus is that the cafe is dog friendly and it’s such a great chance to refuel and warm up after a long dog-training session in the park. Remember to bring cash with you because they are currently operating cash only.

We were here just for refreshments but if I knew of this place in advance, we definitely would have had a munch here but from what we got, they were nice, can't go too wrong, so nothing bad to sayThe place it self was nice but the views you get from here is its USP for sure, especially on a nice day, weather wise.Getting here via public transport, Elm Park (District line/Hammersmith & City) would seem to be your best bet. Suttons Avenue (Stop S) via 165, 365 and 372 for buses. If around here again, we'll grab a bite next time.
