Some of our meals were lovely, spag bol tasteless and quite dry but we were offered them for free and had a free drink which was very generous. Would go there again

We have been for family dinner . It was our first time there.Lovely atmosphere. The staff very friendly, helpful and professional.Food delicious. Personally I enjoyed the most the Margherita cocktail. Best ever had!!!We will definitely come back. This is an other great place to return on our list.

Portion sizes match the prices(especially the appetizers), definitely got my money's worth. The food was good but other restaurants do it better.

Make sure to check your bill!We had a lovely Valentine's meal with roses and balloons decorating the restaurant. When the bill arrived, they had not taken off the £20 per person deposit which had been pre-paid over the phone. We pointed this out and the waitress left to change the bill, however the card reader was still presenting the original full amount - we didn't realise until the payment had gone through. It was a noticeable amount of £40 which they kindly refunded by cash, but only after we pointed it out (again).I assume every single Valentine's dinner booking had the same £20 per person deposit. I was left with the feeling that it was not an accidental mistake because they were hoping we wouldn't notice or wouldn't point it out. I would hate to see other restaurant guests get caught out by this error!We also felt a little rushed with multiple waiting staff peering at our table throughout the meal, when we were clearly still eating.

Had a lovely valentine's evening with my partner, food was great and the staff were Attentive without being intrusive. Help made the night perfect for us

Very noisy with a 70's soundtrack that reminded us more of Great Aunties wedding rather than a romantic Italian meal. Food was good, staff were polite and prices reasonable. Covid precautions not brilliant bordering on non-existent.

Osteria was recommended to me so went to see foruself. What a lovely restaurant, staff are friendly, good choice of drinks and the food was amazing. I recommend booking as even In 2021 it still gets busy.

We celebrated our anniversary with our family and I can’t praise this restaurant enough. Fantastic food and the staff are friendly and look after your every need. Great atmosphere. I definitely recommend for any occasion. Thank you for making our evening so special.

Waited an hour and a half for a pizza and salad. Had 6 members of staff serve our table and ask the same question a thousand times. Waiter repeatedly forgot to come back with an update on our order. No one has a clue what they are doing at this restaurant. I’ve come from Canada where I expect good service and had pretty low expectations anyway for the U.K. service but this was way below expectations. Food is adequate but not worth the huge wait and terrible service. Avoid at all costs. The waiter interrupted my conversation several times to ask me to pass him cutlery and plates from the table. He clearly doesn’t know what he is employed for. I’ve had much better service at Pizza Express across the road.

This place certainly was worth the short trip to Upminster on bank holiday monday. Although it's been open a while monday this was the first chance we had to visit and I can say now this will not be our last. This Italian restaurant is not a chain which to me is a plus and therefore menu is not just pizza and pasta. This to me makes you feel like your in a Italian restaurant. There's plenty of room in the restaurant and all the seats are nice and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and you could already see from the other diners who came in that they'd built us a good reputation. While we looked at the menu we decided to have a nice cocktail and of course if your in a Italian it has to be an Aperol Spritz . We decided to start with the Osteria sharing plate consisting of Crab Arancini , Calamari , Beef Fillet Carpaccio with Proscuitto & Mozzarella Bruschetta and it was delicious We then moved on to our main courses where we had the Mare Pizza full of Tiger Prawns , Crab Meat & Mussels while I went for the slow roasted Porchetta stuffed & marinated with herbs & spices , Sicilian roast potatoes & green beans simply Italy on a plate It was then time for dessert and there was something I just had to try Italian doughnuts with cinnamon and a sweet musto cotto reduction & a chocolate sauce. We also had the delightful and refreshing Italian Sorbet Well that finished our meal perfectly and after a nice Espresso it was time to head home.
This is a place I would definitely recommend as the food is good and the service is very friendly. I for one will certainly be back so Ciao for now 🇮🇹
