Taj Restaurant in Havering

Ordered online but they didn't received my order and I had 10 questions how I did it. Been surprised after I showed them owen site they didn't recognised it! After 10 minutes waitting I had my LAMB ROSHINI but it was not a LAMB BUT CHICKEN ROSHINI. All dish was to oily and definitely not indian. Mint souce as well looks weird. Souce goes to bin and chicken roshini was my dog dinner.

Very good authentic food from the South. Meat dishes are really nice. Chicken Byriani is a must, however ask for a bit more spice it gives it a good kick. I have tried a lot of curry houses in the area, by far this is the best in the RM area..

Went here for the first time 3 weeks ago and I've been there for the last three Saturdays. I like it. Had really good food and really good service. I've given it 5 Stars because I think it's worth more than 4. Reasonable prices and the fact that you can take your own drink makes it a cheaper night. Definitely worth a try.

Was attracted by a new refurbishment.But limited drinks and waiters rushing you with everything.Orderd a chicken tikka masala and rice, wouldn't be surprised if I make it through the night without throwing up as the chicken was soft and feel the layers of the chicken on biting compared to the normal grilled texture.Not impressed with the dishing out of condiments for the poppadom done in sight of public view.Overall I wouldn't return here

First time I have used the Tag restaurant would have given 3.5 stars but can’t do that. Food tasted good order online very impressed replied and told me it would be at a time and was on time. My big problem was to much oil in food spoilt for me. I’ve been eating Indian food food for since I was 18 years old now 63 and still love it sorry to oily thank you

So sick and tired of this place picking and choosing whether they want to fulfill your order or not. Twice now they have accepted my order and then cancelled it later on. Thanks a bunch. Useless. Have been using for two decades but their service has become absolutely appalling. Many better in the area. Uruswamy in Elm Park much better.

If you like authentic Indian food this is not the place for you. If you like Indian food made for English people you will love it. The nans are fluffy and bit too sweet, the chicken tikka is bright red and the mint sauce is sweet and yellow. The staff are really nice and very accommodating. The restaurant is very clean and spacious now they have removed some tables for social distancing. The front sinage has been changed from the one in the Google pic. I will be going there again.

The Taj has a reputation locally for serving good food. This was my first meal out since the start of lockdown and I felt very safe. Their food tastes very authentic, very tasty but not overly spicy.

Ordered using an uber eats discount code. Bill came to £30 then 50% off voucher code. Guese what!! Only half the food turned up. Pathetic tiny pieces of chicken. Pots just full of sauce. Keema naan really burnt.. Lucky I ordered popadoms as none come with a £30 meal, no other extras either....so no salad nothing... total order didnt feed 2 people.. half a pot of bombat potatoes...yes just 7 small ones. I mean tiny ones....Watery Korma and Masal... Feel very ripped off... Will never use Uber eats or Taj "so called" restaurant again... Disgraceful.... One company that doesnt deserve local orders.....

We enjoyed informal family dinner at our local Indian restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious!!! Lemon rice is divine! Staff are friendly and helpful. Would recommend!
