Thai E-Saan Restaurant in Havering

Really friendly waitress, feels family run but lacks spark. Food is okay. Been a couple of times with my partner and have been satisfied.

Not one person in there on a Saturday night I should have known.Chewy microwaved satay chicken to start, the pic below is pad Thai and stir fry with chicken, the rice bowl was so hot from microwave that I scaled my hands picking it up. The pad Thai had so much sugar in it it made me feel sick and shudder. The chicken was also flavourless and chewy. The stir fry was meant to be with cashew nuts and I could see about 3. None of it was fresh, all re heated and we couldn’t eat it. They were rushing us to close and when we said the meal wasn’t nice they simply brought out the £43 bill and smiled. I threw down £45 and they said thank you bye!!! I said it would be nice if you asked why we left our entire meal. The lady said ok thank you bye! I was too shocked to do anything else but leave. I emailed the next day but nothing back to I felt so upset I have left this review. Sad restaurant and the worst Thai meal I have ever experienced anywhere in the world

Lovely local restaurant, I have visited many times over the last few years and the food is always SO tasty, fresh and filling and really great quality. The prices are very reasonable, the staff are very friendly and welcoming too. The atmosphere is cozy and clean but the decor is a little bit dated but still very charming! I have ordered takeaway from Thai River too and it has been just as good. I would highly recommend the coconut rice, it's amazing. I love this restaurant and will definitely visit again :)

My aunt and her husband are a regular here and brought me during a trip to the UK. The food was oh so delicious! True authentic Thai food. We tried a couple of items on the menu that were recommended by the friendly staff and nothing was disappointing. Also, the restaurant was clean and the staff were warm and hospitable.

Food not great. Had better Thai food. Staff were a bit moody. Didn’t enjoy the pad Thai, if you don’t enjoy the pad Thai in a Thai place that kind of sums it up as a Thai restaurant. Tried to visit the other Thai restaurant with higher google ratings but it was closed, even though they state open on sundays. Would not revisit as the food was not great.
