Visited The Orange Tree on a sunny day. Lovely Sunday atmosphere. Soulful music playing in the background - which was a delight. Really impressed with the size of the outdoor area and the lamb roast dinner was to die for! Good portion sizing and variety of accompanying veg. Whilst the dessert (warm toffee pudding) didn't hold up to the same standard - I was really impressed by the customer service and hospitality to ensure it was rectified. Overall - a lovely visit. I would recommend to my friends and family.

Decent food, but where we weren't ready to order our drinks immediately, the waitress childishly made a point never to return to our table and to take the orders of guests that had arrived after us first. A much more pleasant waitress finally took our order, but even she wasn't enough to make up for the average food.

Was going to give 4 stars but there's nothing wrong at all with this gastro pub, so it's a 5 from me. We all had fish and chips, massive piece of fish, great chips. My friends had puddings, all great. Very quick and friendly service, good selection of beers and wine. It looks as though they are doing a lot of work outside so could be really popular in the summer. Has a car park. Definitely worth a visit.

Used to be the best place locally for a roast and had been coming for years, went last weekend with the family and the food was terrible. They have changed ownership and unfortunately it’s not the same. The meat was not of same quality, the potatoes were hard and the much loved gravy has gone. Not happy won’t be returning which is a shame cause quite friendly with some of remaining staff.

We love this pub. Whether it's a romantic dinner for 2, a family dinner or just a few drinks with friends, the service is always great. The food is good wholesome home cooked meals. The desserts are so good that I always check the menu to see what they are before ordering a starter or main course. They do a good Sunday roast & the portion sizes are pretty big, so make sure you are really hungry when you go for lunch or dinner. This is a pub for all ages, we were here for quiet drinks for my sons 21st birthday & he had happy birthday sung to him when he arrived, his boss had rung up & put money behind the bar to get the 1st round in! He loves coming here for a drink with his mates & his dad. They have a regular quiz night on a Tuesday which although we didn't take part in, it looked a lot of fun.I think what makes this such a great pub are quite literally the little touches that the staff do & the welcoming atmosphere, even when they are really busy.I would definitely recommend The Orange Tree & we will be back very soon.

What a disappointment - definitely won’t be back. Was bad enough that there was no orange juice available (for drinks) no fish (on the menu) or vanilla ice cream (to go with the apple pie) but at each order ordering point the waiting staff never advised this so we had a continual returning to change the order. Finally we were just about to start pudding when a waitress delivered our bill (unasked for) telling us they needed the table back! When we asked why she said they had a policy of only allowing the tables for 2 hours. First issue with this it wasn’t advised at booking, but the main problem we had was that we had only been there for 90 minutes! The attitude of the member of staff who then came to take payment when we said no to adding service charge was rude. Dont bother going - there are plenty of nice village pubs in the area to frequent.

Had birthday lunch with my family on Sunday lovely atmosphere and comfortable surroundings. However unfortunately my food when served was not hot, the waitress did warm it up but both of my daughters didn't eat their roast dinners either as there's was warm. Usually really happy with the food but won't go for Sunday lunch again.

I am outraged I went to this place around Christmas time and I had to wait 1hour 24 minutes to get my food after we put in the order and we noticed everyone around us we're getting there food first when they ordered like 15 minutes after us.Later we had a guy come to serve us who was on his first day and he was really good. By around 5:15 everyone had gone and were sitting alone in this place.Understandably they were down on staff but they don't tell you that when you first come in and tell you how long you have to wait.Another group behind us we're complaining about how long they waited and they got the same response they are understaffed.Overall, we had a good time but these waiting times without any warning, and we put a deposit down when booking. The guy who walked in in the last 20 minutes really saved the service and was really polite and brought us over some condiments.
