Toby Carvery in Havering

Breakfast 25.04.22Choice was not bad but what was on offer was midly warm, hashbrowns were very dry.Toast on menu says selection of jams and spreads there was one small bowl of strawberry jam on offer only butter no other choices so poor.Staff didn't really speak so no comment

Gammon was incredibly dry and the Yorkshire puddings were so crispy and oily. There was not much choice for veg and the roast potatoes were oily too. In and out in 30 mins was not an enjoyable visit. Won’t be returning!

Went there Thursday with my family for my birthday, our waitress was Breanna she was so lovely, and helpful, food was delicious. I / we had a great time, you made it special. Thank you. We will not be strangers, defo be back soon.

Staff were friendly and very polite. First time visiting this Toby Carvery and considering it was a weekday at 1pm it was really busy. The food was hot lots of meat choices. Fair meat portions given. Variety of vegetable sides which were tasty and varied. Overall a very pleasant experience will be booking again soon

I tock a friend who was recovering from an hip op, and I have to use a walking stick. The restaurant was very busy but our waitress went to help us by getting the meat thus allowing us not to queue. She was very helpful and deserves merit so Bryony thank you for your great service and going the extra mile. The meal was good and was enjoyed.

Peas missing the carrots too soft potatoes too hard! Toilets very dirty! Had to use disabled toilet. I reported the toilets, but nothing happened. The desserts were disappointing and not as described on the menu. The Billionaires Bar was soft based and not biscuit like described, it didn't taste very good and was wasted by the two of us that chose this option.

Owen, was so kind and caring...he carried my plate for me as I was using a walking stick due to a knee operation, Owen was a true gentleman, his politeness and respect for others is outstanding...he even got my chair for me when I sat down....Food was delicious and service was perfect.

Firstly, I'd like to mention that the quality of my roast beef was nothing short of excellent. Probably the best roast beef ever at Toby, and probably the best roast beef I have ever had. Big thanks to Mel, our carver, who was simply excellent. Table service from Gemma was superb. Definitely the best visit to Toby Romford EVER! My only observation regarding improvements would be to ask to make every visit as brilliant as this one was.

11:35 I walked in, no one at the front desk to be seated so I waiting a couple of minutes, within that time one of the staff walked through from the kitchen area presumably on her break with a plate in one hand and eating a roast potato with her fingers, she walked past me and into the back of the bar area, a few seconds later another woman come out of the bar area, I asked if I should sit anywhere as it was very quiet and only a couple of tables had people seated. I was told that I had to wait at the desk to be seated, I explained I had been waiting a few minutes now! She didn’t even look at me whilst she was talking to me which is just bad manners. She then asked a separate colleague if there was any tables available, she replied no and asked me to take a seat in the waiting area, I did and sat there a further 10 minutes. I ended up walked out and have gone to Nando’s. You need work in customer service with some of your staff as I was there two weeks ago and no problems what so ever, and the girl that dealt with me then had great customer service. Such a shame some of your staff are terrible.

Had a lovely carvery. Had the beef and turkey. The turkey was full of flavour and the beef was tender and melted in your mouth. Unfortunately the sponge dessert was pretty tasteless hence 4 stars. The server was happy and helpful.
