Hillingdon Fish Bar in Hillingdon

Got take away fish & chips and samosas for our last meal in the UK before returning to the US. Service was great as they accommodated us reducing our orders of chips after we saw the huge portions. Fish was good and crispy, the samosas we're very tasty. Definitely recommend this chippy!

Rather than order online, we went there in person and they put on a fresh batch of fish and chips ...and we all enjoyed, not sure if it was better than anywhere else however. I think the chips could be a bit crispier, but I like them soft.

ordered a kebab with pitta,when it turned up it was just meat no pitta,when i called them the woman in the shop, was a bit matter of fact and had no interest what i was telling her.She said it dont come with pitta what i ordered ,i said im looking at my order now and it does.I drove to the shop to even show her because she was not having any of it,and still said on her reciept its come through as meat only.I told her obviously you will get this with other orders then,she reckons im the first one.What a load of rubbish.The way she speaks they have lost my custom.

I loved having Calamari with Chips 🍟 and the curry sauce was very tasty

Very bad the lady working there speak very bad I will not go again in this shop I recommend all not go this shop .. very bad shame on you … I just said these put the tomato sauce on the chips she said it’s not free it’s 50 p what the hell I got burger meal I spend £5 is 50p is expensive I can pay but the way of talking is not well I will not go again this shop

Amazing fish and chips. We have eating here since it opened and never have had a bad fish and chips. Always super crispy, fish and chips are perfect and the service for delivery is always on time! The owner is amazing and takes true pride in the restaurant - a rare quality!

Been here a couple of times now when visiting my parents who’s regular here. Superb fish and chips, huge portions and friendly staff. Would recommend.

First time here , we Had a delivery, which took over an hour ,Asked for the large cod and chips, which was the smallest piece of fish I’ve ever seen( like a kids portion)food was cold , truly awful experience and will never be going anywhere near the place again. Not even sure y I gave 1 star, it really deserves none.

We have been using this fish bar for several weeks, the food is delicious, the chips are golden and fluffy and portions are generous, it is clean and efficient and staff are very friendly, Please try the spicy cod chunks as they are yummy as is the scampi and cod, indeed we as a family have had excellent food every time. I am more than happy to give five stars.

When it first opened this shop was excellent, however it is starting to slip badly. The last time I visited - about 3 weeks ago it was clear that the fish portions had been reduced significantly and even though I took the smallest portion my wife was clearly very upset as she mentioned this last week. Today I tried to buy lunch for my family and as you can see from the photo it had its shutters down (photo taken at 11:58 today - according to the published opening hours it opens at 11:30). It's a shame that I have to leave a disappointing review for a business that started off so well. I hope this review will encourage them to improve.Reply to Hillingdon Fish Bar. It's good to know that you do NOT consider me to be one of your regular customers (given that I used to use your shop on a weekly basis). It also good to know that this is how you treat your NOT regular customers. It is good to know that you are no longer going to serve small fish and chips for lunchtime. I'm assuming that you will also be raising your prices again to reflect this.
