We had a nice meal and ordered the B Dawg which is new on the menu. It was very good and would order it again. The chocolate torte was nice too. Welcoming staff and we've been visiting for many years. Would recommend.

Ordered a 2 course lunch for two and it was absolutely revolting. The rump steaks smelt like fish not sure if they were cooked in the same oil. Food was diabolical, the steak was tough and chips were stale. Staff member was rude and unprofessional. Would rather die than seek cover at the beefeater if there was a zombie apocalypse.

Very friendly staff. They were attentive, checked in on us as well. We just got appetizers and wings, they were good. Drinks were good as well. Would go again.

A bit outdated pub. Nice waiters. Pub is connected to the premier in hotel. You can therefore use their parking space for free. Also the buses stop right infront of the door.

Food wasn't bad at all, lovely girl served us, all good I'm happy to say but don't have the garlic bread if you like it crispy 🍞😊

Waitress was friendly and didn't rush us. When in England why not get some fish and chips.

We went here for a few drinks and a bit of food. Good atmosphere, very clean and the food was excellent. Highly recommend going here.

Service was quite frankly abysmal. Waitress was fed up from the get go. Took half an hour to get our first set of drinks when we arrived (two lemonades, some tap water and a glass of milk for goodness sake!). We were sat in for the best part of an hour after this before our food finally arrived. When we were eventually served our food there was a pot of air instead of peppercorn sauce. The gammon was inedible tasted like salty burnt cardboard. The rump was half fat and overdone for a medium. Each drink took a minimum of 10 minutes to turn up after we had to hunt down the waitress each and every time. I don't think a single plate or glass was taken from the table (nor were the menus and she left her tray there as well which we placed the empty glasses on for them to be taken and they still were there when we left) during the three hours that we were there simply for a quick meal. The table besides us asked for their bill about 10 minutes after we did (same waitress) yet they left before we even received ours. We were asked how we were paying for the bill where we had to inform her that we had not yet been given our bill. Overall, food was okay desserts were lovely but everything was slow and the staff were moody and it has left a nasty taste despite a somewhat decent meal.

Stayed last night at Premier Inn next door and decided to go to the Beefeater for dinner. BIG MISTAKE. The restaurant is tired and dated and in desperate need of a refurb. Got a wobbly table which is always a good start! Started with the breadcrumb coated mushrooms (soaked in oil). They were disgusting. Then went for the full mixed grill at £21. Was told just before it was brought out that there were no lamb chops so instead they had replaced with more breaded mushrooms. I explained I could not eat any more of them so they then brought me a large button mushroom (to replace lamb chops). The garnish was dry and looked horrible (see pics). The steak was chewy. The other meat was cold and the chips were either mushy or rock hard. I spoke to the manager who was great and did not charge me (I only ate a small amount and that was because I was so bloody hungry). Cant fault the staff friendly and professional. By the look of things long gone are the days when you would go to the Beefeater as a real treat. My advice is your better of going to McDonalds opposite.
