Awful. We had a mixed meats and dips starter to share which was the best part of the meal. However, in my Spanish wife's opinion (and mine) the Jamon Iberica was not Iberica it was Jamon Serrano and overdry, perhaps left out too long before serving or just old. The bread was dry on one surface and had obviously been cut long before it was served. However the platter content was all just-about edible.Main courses were bizarre. The goat's cheese had been grilled with sugar on it. I'd never encountered 'Chevre brulee' before and hope not to again. The burger was not bad but the bun was cold inside and had come out of a fridge. It managed to be stodgy wet and dry all at the same time.My wife said the ribs were OK, but she did not eat the chips which were not OK.None of us bothered with unappealing desserts. The coffee was burnt. The service was delivered with a smile but there were far too many diners for the staff to handle so everything was very slow. The optional service charge was not.The smoke from the nicotine addicts (we're all ex) drifted in through the open doors and added a certain 'je ne sais quoi' to the flavours and kept making me want to cough. The music was too loud in most of the seating areas to permit conversation, we had to change tables. And I felt ill by the time I got home. That lasted 24 hours.Oh and the ambience is 'police station cells, revised with false beams'.Overall, awful. This is not a restaurant. I was not restored.Won't be back.

Good for a drink but go else where for food. Visited here recently for lunch and was unfortunately very disappointed. The venue looks great and has a lovely court yard to the back with outdoor heating. I'd visit again for a drink but not for food as we were very disappointed. We ordered the duck with fried vegetables, which had no real taste to it, very bland. The lamb was OK, but nothing special. They do however have a good wine list, bigger than most in the area.

We had our second 21st there for our youngest daughter this time. Everything ran like clockwork. All the planning was arranged on a one to one basis with Melissa. The food was great. The bonuses are that there is no room change and you can dance to your own music till about 12.30 am in an ample area. We can't thank everyone enough. All the staff were charming and attentive. So again our thanks to Melissa and also Tina, Ines.Pierre and Axel.

Relaxed evening with live lounge jazz on a Sunday. Good food and authentic Italian feel to the place, but more pub-like than the 'exclusive' prices would perhaps indicate.

Revisited this restaurant after a few years today.Food and venue just as good but it was so cold in the restaurant. They had one electric oil heater for the whole place but it wasn't doing much. Complained to staff but told it was a cold day and an old building and they are looking for a solution. We had to rush our meal and wine to get out of the place for some warmth. People sitting in their coats. What a shame.

Bar Service can be slow and what is really appalling is some customer who lays his dog a the bar, so you cannot be served!! very dirty looking animal!!. While he has his pint!!! To go to dining place and give way to some dog is not what I look for. Its last time I go or recommend this place I will go Italian!

Wonderful food and great cocktails. Amazing atmosphere, lovely to sit outside in the garden when the weather is nice. Service, however, could definitely improve.

Admittedly I've never tried the food, but Carvosso's is a perfect spot for a pre or post-dinner drink with friends. With an absolutely massive wine list (for all budgets!) you're sure to find something to drink that you enjoy...that doesn't break the bank. I've been there now on a couple of occassions and have always been really impressed with the standard of service as well. On weekends/holidays make sure you book a table -- it can get really busy!

I've never eaten here but the place is perfect for a relaxing drink or two. A pianist plays on Saturday evenings and the staff are friendly and knowledgable. Drinks are a little pricey but nothing you wouldn't expect for a place as sophisticated as this.
