Giraffe in Hounslow

Spend your money elsewhere. Ordered a pulled pork burger and a chicken burger with a side of onion rings and sweet potato fries. The pulled pork was old, chewy and tasteless and the chicken was waaaay over cooked. The order of onion rings was very cold and when I asked for a new order (believe it or not) I received an even colder order. Instead of the sweet potato fries, they brought regular fries instead and when we inquired they said they had run out. 5 minutes later they brought out sweet potato fries. Not to mention the fries that came with the order was also cold. I don’t understand how you can mess up in so many different aspects of a meal. Beware.

I am rating mainly the food here. The service was fantastic everyone is fast, friendly and helpful. However as you can see in my photos the burger is just horrible! Whatever you do do not get a burger. The meat tastes like processed sausage (no real meat for sure) and the bread is cold and hard. The frites/French fries on the other hand are ok. I will not eat here ever again.

I don’t know why reviews of this Giraffe cafe in Heathrow Terminal 5 is low! But I had great delicious yummy breakfast customised to my taste with offered extra smoked salmon. Delicious and superb with excellent quick happy service. Thanks to Pedro, Marta, Justyna. They were amazing and super friendly and smiling as you see in photo :)

First we had to chase the employees to take our orders, then half (no kidding!) the food on the menu was not available.At the end we wanted to order a kids menu, because that's what was available at the time. "But mam, you're not allowed to have the kids menu"... Really?? That's how you make the situation better??Shame on you.Burger was burned.I didn't tip B.No, he got an attitude

We had good timing so short queue. Advised of 20 minute wait for food - food actually arrived very quickly 10 minutes.Environment is pleasant, feels out of the rush. Food for a chain in an airport tastes great. Food presentation is also good.Staff prompt, polite and provide quick service.

The restaurant was alright for what it is: airport food. The service was quick and we only waited about 15 minutes (there is always a line). I got the vegetarian brunch: the avocado had too much lemon, and the sausage was off flavor. My husband got the chicken burger and the bread it came with was really dry. The drinks came out fast. It’s a good spot to chill before your flight, everything else is crowded as well.

I have had a good meal here some years ago. The 2 latest visits were disappointing.Today, the wait to get in was about 5 minutes despite plenty of empty tables.I was waiting to give my order a long time. I started reading the menu to see if maybe I was to order through an app. While ecploring apps, someone showed up and took my order.Only 50% of the menu was available.I got my food, ordered brunch (see photo) I was disappointed.I asked to pay when the food came. Nobody came.Then I started waving my credit card while trying to get eye contact with some waiter.3 waiters said they would be right back. They never did.Eventually, I got up to leave. I had a plane to catch.They were used to that, I guess, because a waiter with a credit card reader took my payment as we walked out.I don't think I am coming back.

I wanted to express my gratitude to all the staff at Giraffe in Terminal 5. I treated myself to a delicious meal and chair boogie before leaving London for Lyon after an emotional goodbye. The warm welcome, smiles of busy staff, tunes and quality food lifted me up in to the sky before I was in it. Thanks again, may you be well, may you be happy. xx Rachel

The food wasn’t incredible or terrible really. Just average. I did appreciate that they had a lot of unique items on the menu, which made trying the food a little more exciting.The food definitely did come out fast! And with potential connecting flights and customers in a rush, that’s important. Although, if you’d like to also pay the bill quickly I’d also suggest you ask for the bill when you order.

I don’t know about others experience but I really like it. The waiter was so courteous and kind and food was served within minutes. Quality of food was good. It was just a breakfast 🍳
