The drinks are very good but the food definitely not recommend, because nothing is cooked on the spot everything is frozen ....Pizza supreme chicken not good at all after eat it I need the toilet 😫 and my girlfriend try a bacon frankfurter with chips definitely not recommend as well because she needed the toilet as well ....Lovely garden outside, staff friendly and polite , the pub is very nice and welcoming.

Great place, good selection of drinks, but would be great if they stop using plastic glasses.

Great pub, excellent beer, 3 TV in side, large TV in the spacious beer garden, top service from the staff.

Its a decent local boozer. I have friends that live locally and it serves the purpose when I want to meet them for a drink. They need to start offerring food again asap though

A little disappointed as I fear we were overcharged for our take away: two starters (Thai prawn & fish cakes, chicken satay), one red chicken curry which inc jasmine rice, one chicken pad thai & two pints of Neck Oil £44.40!That said the food was excellent: fresh flavours, pleasing combination of spices. Very tasty, as was the beer.

Went here after lockdown. Wow, what a transformation. The landlord John has done Heston proud. The new garden looks great and they even have a big outside TV, Thai food, outside bar, cocktails, and an outside kids play area. The Rose and Crown looks great, inside and out. The prices are good and the staff are polite and friendly.

I heard fantastic reviews on the food and menu produced by the new chef Roy, from a friend of mine.So I traveled from Essex to suss it out.Can I just say "wow". The food was tasty, hot, fresh and colourful.Being a foodie myself, I noticed the slight tweaks on the classic Sunday roast that really completed the dish and allows me to see the effort the chef put in. For example, the heritage carrots (purple) and the cubed swede and the fact that the food wasn't cremated. Plus I had salmon instead of meat which was seasoned perfectly.I then had the 'melting chocolate fondant' which just finished me off. Delicious.The bar staff were fantastic too, (Karim and Lauren). They were welcoming, talkative, funny and really do seem to enjoy working there which is fantastic to see considering that hospitality is hard work.What's really refreshing is that I saw the landlords treating everyone like family. It's great to see them be kind to their staff and customers.The atmosphere was great, its family friendly, I saw a few old boys sitting on their own and I noticed that the friendly staff and other customers still spoke to them. There's a real sense of community spirit here.I will definitely be back and am excited to see the place really shine.Great work to the whole team.
