Has some awesome fish and chips here!Was visiting from the US and had a hankering for some fish and chips from a proper chippy.This place fit the bill, a real local place that’s been here for years.The staff were very good. Ruby helped me and was excellent, food was packed well and piping hot.The food was excellent! The cod was flaky just as I used to have. Batter on the fish was particularly good. Chips were also excellent and I feel the price was good for the amount received.I wish I had time to try out the pies and other fare on offer … next time I’m in town will visit again.100% recommend.

I am a regular at this place for many many years they are reliable food is tasty and great service never keep us waiting always smiling. I should have put up a review a long time ago. I look forward to treating myself to a take away at least once a week and they are are always on my list :-)

We have a job around the corner of this take away, now nearly 2 month I find Fish and chips are expensive, but Burgers are priced ok. Chips are rather dry. You don't get tissue and forks until you asked for it. Other than that 2 ladies are polite and always welcoming and smiling so 1 star each.

This is the best fish and chips shop. The food tastes amazing and it’s always fresh. This particular fish and chips make me enjoying eating fish and chips again. 💯💯💯 will recommend especially shailja, who’s customer service is amazing 😻 .

I live local and have started getting fish and chips here. It's my third time and I love how everything is cooked while you wait so everything is fresh. The ladies who run the place are absolutely lovely and the service was impeccable. I would absolutely recommend. They treat their customers extremely well. Amazing.

Waited 20 minutes for 2 large cod and a medium chips, only to be offered tiny bits of cod that look like they had been brought from asda, iv seen bigger goldfish the women was very rude and laughed, when your charging £7 for a large cod people expect £7 worth:Edit: i didnt call her a bi*** i said iv seen bigger goldfish, as for seing the food befor hand it was serves is an absolute lie, i ordered medium and then noticed it was £1 extra for the large so i thought why not, your staff staff i telling you lies as there was more than two other customers there and one even agreed that it wasnt fresh, it was cooked from frozen anyone can see it was.I wasnt rude at all i just said, im not paying £7 for a large cod that would git in the palm of my hand

10/10 food. I purchased a large fish and chips and a burger and it was spectacular. Very friendly and helpful staff and nice clean shop. Had a wonderful experience will definitely be coming back. Just gained a new regular customer.

This place use to be good. But went last week and it has really gone bad. The cod is tiny, the size of frozen fish from Tesco and the oil tastes very bad. The chips were OK. The chap also under changed me £5 initially.
