Sushi Bar Makoto in Hounslow

Since Sushi Bar Atariya Ealing Common closed down this has been my go to place in west London to get my sushi fix. Well priced and always the freshest seafood. Service is fast and although it is a small restaurant the tables are turned around quickly so never a long wait. Plus lots of cute stores nearby to explore whilst you wait for a table.

Toilets were quite nice after eating a large amount of sushi. Was served by a very cute waiter I want able to catch his name or number though. Wasabi was nice. Manager was a bit old but he seems like pro sushi chef.

It was okay. But not amazing. Overpriced for the quality/taste Also didnt like that the place was soooo under ventilated that the whole window was steamed up.

Amazing fresh Sashimi and Sushi. We've eaten here numerous times and it is always fantastic. Would strongly recommend a visit if you're in the area. The soft shell crab roll and Sashimi selection are delicious.

Being a Sushi aficionado myself I am super impressed by what this little independent sushi is able to pull off. The fish menu is fresh, portion is great and for the price the quality food is comparable or dare I say even better than some of the expensive sushi restaurants in central london! Definitely a hidden gem in Chiswick that’s worth visiting!

Definitely the best sushi and donburi I’ve had in the U.K. yet. Very authentic and I found out that they are even recommended by the Japanese government as an “approved” Japanese restaurant. The portions are really good size, the fish is super fresh and cuts are great. If I don’t live so far from this place I’d come here very often.

Super fresh fatty toro! Assorted nigiri with California rolls is quite a deal! Omelette nigiri tasted basically like alcohol, not sure if too much cooking wine was put in there, slightly disappointed because the egg texture actually felt nice.

Never disappoints! Second time here and it was just as good as I remembered. This is the place to go if you want sushi! The ingredients are so fresh and the specials are always amazing. Limited selection of drinks but the start of the show is the food. Price is really good too for the quality of the food. Must try: sashimi!

Definitely recommend! Authentic Japanese sushi and dishes, really impressed with the freshness and taste. I felt like I was back in Japan eating at their regular restaurants. Definitely best sushi in Chiswick. We got the tempura, noodles and platter with lean tuna, unfortunately no fatty tuna option. Have ordered multiple times from them and the quality is always great. It's not a fancy place at all but always guaranteed good quality.My partner is paranoid about food poisoning and I can confirm this place has never made us sick.

Really authentic Japanese cuisine, it felt like stepping back into Osaka! We’d built up quite an appetite climbing beforehand. We had the chicken katsu, the finely sliced beef served on rice, soft shell crab sushi, spicy special roll, salmon & avocado roll, Tokujou Nigiri. All of it was really delicious. The sushi is by far some of the best sushi I’ve had in London and weighing price vs quality was extremely good value.
