The Catch in Hounslow

Authentic persian food , went in for fish and chips was late and tried some persian , was satisfied , The lady was too friendly and pleasing also they got secret fish and chips menu !!

Disappointed, burnt chips and dry cold pie. Shame, was looking forward to my supper

Ordered from deliveroo as it has excellent rating . Fish and Chips meal for about £12 ordered from "fish and chips" does not comes with CHIPS ! You need to order them for another £4.95 which I didn't know because there is no info on their website. Tartar sauce for another £4 .No lemon , no chips . I'm happy to pay more if food is delicious but it was less then average. Fish was dry , coleslaw slimy and nearly £5 Tartar Sauce wasn't even good. Very disappointing .

Sad to write this as this is my local chippy it used to be excellent but it has really gone downhill brought some fishnchips a Couple of weeks ago was soggy and greasy not nice at all thought it was a one off but exactly the same yesterday, such a shame after years of using this place unlikely I will anymore

They accepted my order on deliveroo and then I was waiting 1 hour and half until the restaurant closed and they had to cancel my order. I ended up looking for something to eat at 12 in the night having to wake up at 6am because these people are not responsible and they accept orders that they are not able to make. I have ordered from them before a lot of times the food is nice but they are very unprofessional.

It brings great disappointment to write a bad review for The Catch Chiswick, as for a long time it has been undoubtedly our favourite Chip Shop. We are Chiswick residents, in fact only minutes away from the shop and so we have a friendly relationship with the workers. However, recently we have seen the prices in The Catch and Rice inflate massively. Where once £1.50 for small chips and £2.00 for large, is now £2 for small and £3 for large. From the picture below, this is a LARGE portion for £3. I hope you can see that this is not only ridiculous pricing but the portions do not represent the inflation of price. This is a very nice chip shop with good food and even so, we can no longer justify eating here regularly to have our money wasted.

I eat from here more times per week than j should. Other local chippy places don't compare. Love the grilled fish if you want a healthy option. Always consistent.

Chips weren’t cooked. Literally still raw. Sat and waited for them to be cooked only to get home and throw them all away. Second bad experience in this place, won’t be a third. Much better fish & chips in Turnham Green or Edison Road. They actually cook the chips.

More than just Fish & Chips - platters of Persian food looked awesome on their way passed my table. My grilled haddock was excellent. People were friendly and attentive. I sat next to the bread oven and watched the guy make Persian flatbread. Fascinating. I would definitely go back.

Just wanted to sit down to eat our fish and chips. Ended up being taken to the back restaurant for a proper sit down waiter service: not what we wanted but went along with it. Wasn’t overly impressed with garnish. Just the fish and chips would of been good. As they tasted great!
