Excellent Vietnamese restaurant in Highbury. This was my first visit for a couple of years. It was as good as ever. We had the set menu. The mixed seafood platter was splendid: really fresh, tasty prawns and squid with salad. The second course of lamb, chicken, veg and rice was also beautifully cooked and tasty. The French house white is very palatable. The service is friendly and efficient. At under £70 for the two of us, including service, this is a great place to go. Highly recommended.

Hands down the best Vietnamese food in London. The pho mile in Hoxton has nothing on this place.

Rather authentic Vietnamese cuisine, especially love their crispy pancake. One of my go-to restaurant in the area.

Some of the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had outside of Vietnam. The meat selection platter was a perfect starter for our dining experience. A great selection of meats with everything perfectly cooked. Our mains were the Mongolian duck and special Pho. How they managed to get the duck so crispy and tender at the same time I don’t know lol. The Pho was also beautiful, you could just drink cups of the broth alone. With finished off the meal with the ice coffee which was great albeit too sweet for my partner and some sake which was the real stuff no doubt.

Very enjoyable meal and kind staff. Chose set menu B which was very filling and gave a nice variety of dishes. I also tried the Vijoto which was amazingly refreshing. Highlights were the salad, summer rolls and chicken in coconut and lemon.Very fast service too!

Absolutely amazing place. Au Lac is fast becoming my partner and I's favourite local takeaway. The food is delicious! Especially the rare beef Pho (great portion and brilliant taste), Bún (pork or honey chicken), the summer salad is a MUST and their caramel pork is so tender its mouth watering! Definitely try their food and you will not be disappointed!!! Also, remember to order from them over the phone directly (if you are close by) to help support their business! THEY WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!

This place is really good! I am a big fan of pho and I found the pho broth here is very tasty and the meat quality is good and fresh. We really enjoyed dinner here.

Wonderful food and great service. Even though the place was packed they let us have a table and we got very friendly service. Food was very good. Love the papaya salad. It was delicious. The Bun Hue was also very good even though it was not as spicy as I'm used to. We will be back.

The interior is rather dull, maybe a little depressing for me.. the flaming beef was really good. The duck on the other side was so and so, nothing too special. Nonetheless i would like to go back and try their other dishes because there is a lot of variety and some very interesting options...
