The last time I have been here was in 2019 and I can definitely say they still have high standard. I booked three days in advance and I suggest to anyone to book if you want to find a table on Friday and Saturday night. The staff has been brilliant! They are super professional and experienced. They were able to satisfy all our request. Food has been fabulous and they have been very careful with my allergy. Well done to all of you! I will definitely come back again.

A very welcome place to eat something quick or to stay for longer. The hostess was really professional, with a smile on her face found us quick a table even if the brasserie seemed to be full at first glance. So, there is place for everyone)We enjoyed to be sitted and having something for brunch. I've got the Eggs Benedict, the poached eggs were perfect. Thank you for having us!

A lovely French brasserie in the heart of Islington. As you enter, you are immediately immersed in the Paris on the 1930ies. The decor is exquisite and the numerous dining rooms and bars have all something special. Through the night, you realise that the best thing of Bellanger is that it has such a "local" feeling. You can come here for lunch or coffee and spend a few hours reading your book and looking out of the many large windows. The staff will have a smile and kind word for you, making you feel at home. And they are DOG FRIENDLY!!! So, for the ones of us who want excellent food but don't want to leave the pup behind, this is the perfect place.Food is tasty and the menu mix classics of the French cuisine with a modern reinterpretation. The cocktails are really something else alltogether. The classic cocktails have been reinvented to give something new and special to every sip. The Negroni Blanc and the Rose Spritz are a must try.

Such a fantastic restaurant. The ambience is lovely. Romantic mood lighting with tasteful art along the walls. The serving staff smile even though they are very busy. The menu is extensive and well priced. The portion sizes are very generous- be warned- less is more. There is complimentary bread and butter served at the table with still water at request. The food is served piping hot and is beautifully presented. I really enjoyed the dinner. Having reserved a table- they generously gave us a table of 4- so we had plenty of extra space and were socially distanced from other tables.I would recommend this restaurant to everyone in the area. It exceeded my expectations. Thank you for such a lovely evening.

This is a smart and professionally run French restaurant on Islington Green. It's certainly an "occasion" place, for impressing your Mum, or just feeling good about life. The traditional French food is not outrageously priced, although you won't find your favourite Aussie red on the wine menu-- there are only French labels. The lighting is just right, and shows off the Art Nouveau/Edwardian decor well. I enjoyed my steak and fries, and we chatted to our very experienced, friendly waiter Liam-- perhaps he'll be there on the night you go!

Quickly becoming an Islington institution Bellanger never fails to deliver! I’ve enjoyed many family events here, including my 50th Birthday celebration in the delightful private room.Brunch, Lunch or Dinner? Everything is always perfect - Chicken Schnitzel Holstein is an absolute favourite.

Friendly service and delicious food. The steak tartare was perfect.Escargot was good though in comparison to a couple of other places I rate the others a little higher with the flavouring and how well cooked they were. The avocado super food salad was surprisingly big for a ‘small’ but I can confirm that it was refreshingly delicious if you like your veg, fruit, nuts and legumes all mixed in one bowl.I had a Martinez cocktail which was well mixed with a good balance of sweet and bitters - recommend if you enjoy your bitters like I do 😊Will likely return to try some mains.

The food is great and the service is excellent. Only minus was the bread which was stale. With regards escargots and oysters, you need some fresh bread. I asked for it to be changed which they did but they brought another stale bread basket, just warmed up. Other than though the place is lovely and romantic

It was fantastic evening. Very friendly but efficient staffs and food was very good. We had beef tartar which was very good. Celeriac remoulade and carrot salad also very tasty. Espresso was oh my word! Didn't expect that good actually. Atmosphere was lovely and Tom was our server and he was very attentive and thoughtful. Strongly recommend!

I pop into Bellanger in Isington if I’m ever wanting some classic french brassiere dishes. It’s an efficient menu without being too extensive. On the day I had a lunch date with my friend - my lunch of chicken schnitzel and celeriac remoulade was delicious. My friends steak haché was a tad dry but a good bernaise sauce, fries and bubbles made up for it!Service is always prompt and friendly but on the day it was either multiple staff trying to tend to our table or we couldn’t find anyone when it was time to pay; but that didn’t detract from it’s overall appeal.
