Chilango in Islington

Firstly, there's really no need for the overzealous greeting at the counter. A simple hello will do. I don't appreciate being yelled at.I was disgusted to see no gloves worn by staff preparing the food. When I asked about this I was told they wash their hands before preparing each order which I don't recall seeing. Very off putting to see someone manhandling your food with bare hands. To make things worse, the server really struggled to wrap the burrito which was splitting open. She was literally digging her fingers into the filling of the burrito. Gross.The food was very underwhelming, bland and disappointing. This used to be my favourite place for burritos but I won't be returning.

This place is absolutely fantastic.. The management and her team on duty at the time was second to none. The food was impeccable and decent price the vibe here is brilliant with an open kitchen and staff allowed to play their own music and seem to have a good hold on things and hard working which is perfect.will definitely return :)

I've always loved chilango and have ordered faithfully from this branch for a couple years now. Lately their portions have been a joke and today as the worst so far. £16 for a hotbox and they don't even fill a quarter of it up. There was about 10 chips in the bag. So sad. Only time I've ever asked for a refund from deliveroo.

These used to be so much better, the food quality has dropped, staff were nice though. I’m sure there are better burritos in London now.

Gross and slopped out. Many staff not doing too much so waiting ages. Offered soggy lettuce and the sauces looked old. Not very fresh. Drink bottles were covered in a sticky residue. Really bad for the marked up price. Seemed like they could not deal with returning the drink as it confused them. Wont use a Chilango again.

Best burrito in town. Everything was fresh and the chicken was tasty. You should also try the tortilla chips.

Ordered on Deliveroo. Paid extra for additional Surf and Turf and it was as missing from Burrito. Spend £30 on two burritos, as a treat, and they messed it up!!! This kind of incompetence means it will be the first and LAST time I order from them. So much money to spend on food with a company that can’t get a simple order right.EDIT : I phoned and the woman who answered was very sweet and very apologetic. So that is to the stores credit. I’ll get a refund from Deliveroo. Kudos to her for her response. I’m still very annoyed though.

I’m really annoyed, made the journey on time before your closing hours. Yet no one is there and there is a closed sign!Why did I waste my journey? It states you close at 10pm and it’s not bank holiday Monday yet. Nothing else on your site other than 10pm closing and yet you closed up at 9pm an hour earlier.
