Cirrik - Newington Green in Islington

Oh my god. It isn't a cheap mangal/ kebab shop by any means, but the food!. I don't have the vocabulary to describe how tender the lamb shish was - suffice to say I haven't had one that matched it in the UK, or Istanbul, ir anywhere else I've been in the middle east or central Asia. The ezme salad was so fine it was almost like a gazpacho. The sauces on the yogurtlu kebabs... I can't compare it to Mangal No. 1 or anywhere else in Dalston, but I can't imagine anyone would be disappointed if they chose this place.

Time Out magazine was SO right in suggesting this as worthy visiting. Me and my friend had two delicious mains, with plenty of "satellite dishes" AKA sides, an it was worth every penny. Down-to-earth eating place, with fantastic, attentive and very kind staff. I'll be back, for sure, when I'm in the area, hands down.

The best Turkish food I've had in London, and I've had a lot! The lamb chops and chicken shish were fantastic, as were the aubergine and falafel starters, the Yakut wine was excellent, and service was wonderful.

Discovered this place a few years ago and was very pleased with the food quality and value for money.Got a big shock a few weeks ago (Jan 22) when I ordered a meal for collection.When I arrived to collect the order, I was shocked to be presented with a £49 bill for an order which not long ago was in the high £20s.Staff explained how much their own costs had gone up but when I made the order there was an opportunity to tell me that their prices had increased by that much, giving me the opportunity to make a decision on how to proceed. This never happened.Adding insult to injury, the food was dry and the chicken tough.Be honest, be open and ill respect you.

It’s a great place to taste some of Turkish traditional foods however they need to work on their marinated meet 🤭great service

We’ve ordered takeaway a few times, and we used to visit pre-pandemic. The food is simply outstanding. We usually order one of the mixed kebabs, and it’s enough for the 3 of us and then some. The meat is really flavoursome, the onion sides a treat, and the salad fresh and crunchy. And the bread delicious (they rub it on the grilling meat)…:)

Delicious food,amazing service, excellent team, clean, tidy place and nice atmosphere at the venue. The chef has a talent to prepare fresh meat & salad and he has very good communication with customers, so I definitely recommend everyone to visit the restaurant in order to enjoy. Looking for great Turkish food and can't get into Mangal 2? This is a solid alternative. Very friendly staff who had great recommends for our dinner party. Presentation and taste all on point especially the courgette fritters, out of 10 would be back again.

Had such a fantastic meal here. Really great atmosphere. The staff were really attentive and still seemed to be having a good time. They gave us amazing recommendations and plenty of extra bread and salad. The food was incredible. I can’t wait to come back.

First visit here with the family on 'eat out to help out'scheme during Tuesday evening. I booked online earlier that day & they politely called me to confirm. The restaurant was clean & nicely spaced out, hand sanitiser etc available. Welcoming staff & a nice atmosphere.The food itself was very good, lovely taste & flavors. The onion in pomegranate is out of this world as were the mains & starters. The only thing that made it 4* was one of our starters was forgot & until we said something nobody asked if everything was okay. I do understand they were busy but as a server it is kind of your job to check upon things.Overall a nice experience & we would visit again.
