Lovely little cafe on Essex Road, the staff were so nice and friendly! It was so hot that day so I had a light breakfast. Prices were reasonable.

I had possibly the 2nd worst sandwich I have ever been served in a cafe in th UK.The bread was the cheap value white type that was flavourless and exceptionally dry after toasting.The "Sausage" was equally cheap and flavourless although to be fair that may not actually be the case.. It was a single sausage cut so thinly it must have been done with a potato peeler! (See Photos) This resuted in any actual flavour that may have been present being undectable.This is not a cafe I would recommend based on this purchase.

The best cafe! the food is amazing and not greasy in the slightest like some cafes are, food is always really fresh and great portion sizes. Great value for money and staff are always really friendly and happy to help. The type of cafe that doesn’t need fancy decor because the food and customer service speaks for itself. Highly recommend for a good hot meal.

Love this place - everything you want for a greasy spoon plus a couple delicious Turkish breakfasts in the menu too. Great takeaway breakfast baps. Clean and efficient. The guys who run it have great memories and remember your favourites or how you like your coffee. Nice to have a few down-to-earth gaffs amid the oh-so-trendy cafes nearby. Huge portions. We really like coming here.

I used to often go the the Angel Cafe on my way to work for a fried egg sandwich, which was made including a few chips. This was an unusual but fantastic addition. Their Full English was also great value and delicious. Highly recommend this cafe.
