Delhi Grill in Islington

I stopped in on my own, while staying nearby for a work trip. Clean restaurant, professional service and the lamb samosa and pani puri were both vey good, fresh and flavorful. I'll return.

We visited Delhi Grill last week and had the most lovely experience! Service was great, quick, to the point..Staff were welcoming. The atmosphere of the place is definitely unique! I loved the interiors and the overall theme!.I can say this is the best Indian place serving authentic food I have been to so far! We tried fantastic lamb samosas and Dhaba chicken. Starters were fantastic, fresh and nicely presented! I loved it so much!.Overall, a wonderful experience. I would recommend this place with no hesitation & we cannot wait to be back very soon! ❤️

One of my favourite places to eat. They sensibly have a limited selection of dishes on the menu which they do extremely well rather than offering a wide range of averagely executed dishes; plus usually two specials for the day. The decor is fun - posters of Bollywood movies and they have a good selection of drinks besides the usual bottles of Cobra beer. Great place

TLDR; Delicious Delhi street food at a reasonable price with interesting decor to match. Stick to the “snack” menu as these were the most interesting and best value.The items on the “snack” menu was definitely the highlight. Both the Behl Puri and Pani Puri were delightful with plenty of aromatics and spices.The coconut and almond naan was a surprising find. It’s a sweet nan that could almost be a dessert.We also had the Railway Lamb which was slow cooked. Not too bad but nothing too mind blowing either.The restaurant was decorated with Bollywood posters and Delhi styled street art. Eye catching for sure but it can come across as a little tacky at times.

I passed by this place several times, ignoring it because of its plain frontage/exterior. I am glad I decided to give this place a chance.The interior decor reminds me of a typical roadside dhaba from India, which is also apparent in the Menu. The Pani Puri is one of the best I have had in London so far and the Chana Masala was divine; not overly spicy and each of the chickpea just melted in my mouth. The spice level was appropriate for the dishes I had; it didn’t overshadow the rest of the ingredients.Overall, I think this is a hidden gem in Angel. I plan to enjoy many more meals here and will unhesitatingly recommend this place.

I initially visited this place a week before and unfortunately they were closing. The place looked great and so i visited again and was looking forward to it. The decoration was nice and the staff friendly. However the food was not what i expected at all, especially with the prices they are changing. The lamb chops were extremely dry and the best way to describe the curry would be; a watery ginger soup. I ordered a mojito which tasted like Rubicon mango (sugar free) mixed with sprite with lots of ice to water it down. What i did like was, the mango lassi and naan bread. The main reason for the 2 stars is the company youre with can make a place like this pleasant. Otherwise a 1 star and il be avoiding.

Highly recommended 👌 all foods were delicious. Lovely staff. Clean restaurant. You can listen most popular indian movies songs there.

Where can I start talking about this place.. One word amazing! I can't count as indian food that I had before this.. Truly amazing. Staff also very kind and helpful.

Pain pure was nice, but none of the ‘spicy’ dishes were actually spicy. I thought it would have been a bit more authentic but sadly disappointing. Service wasn’t top tier, the guy just put the menu on our table and didn’t even walk us through the specials or welcome us. Wouldn’t visit again

A nice little place with some very nice food. The Kebabs were fresh, the Tandoori chicken juicy, but the highlight for me was Fish Tikka from the grill! For such a long time I had been wanting to try out a proper Fish Tikka from an Indian grill, and have to say it surpassed my expectations on the fish! It was succulent and delicious.The Railway Lamb Curry was nice but perhaps a bit too much tamarind in there. The Biryani was lovely and fragrant, again maybe with a bit too much Tamarind.All in all very much enjoyed the food and the service (we had the whole place to ourselves). Definitely recommend going there for the Fish Tikka!
