Filthy & McNasty in Islington

Best Pub in the world!

Authentic, pubby, but with a twist. Good prices & great decor. Live music by very attractive artists. A bit off the beaten track but worth trekking to - beats anywhere on upper st.

I tried no less than three different beers. All of them were off. The barmaid happily exchanged each of them but after the third swap I didn't fancy another round of Russian roulette.

An interesting place... I can't come up with any great praise for Filthy's neither can I condemn it. I lived across the street from the pub for a while and so came to frequent although the beer wasn't great, there wasn't much space and they had a long table that was a pain to get out from behind. That said, the staff were friendly, there was a nice mixed crowd of locals and people who worked in the area and regular music nights (is Joe still about?).

cozy fireplace. antique decor. big, leather chairs. excellent drink selection. relaxing like your mother's womb, if it served whiskey amidst a fun crowd.

It looked interesting from the outside so my mother and I dropped in for a quick pint and the soup of the day for lunch. Great service! I'll stop by again next time I'm in London.

Overrated. Average at best pub that wouldn't get a look in if it were in Camden. Still, stands out in Clerkenwell
