Really love this place. The staff makes you feel so welcome and you might get to see and chat to the owner who is lovely. I love the early evening menu and the sommelier recommended me a wonderful Austrian wine last time which I order ever since. A very special experience and simple and elaborate meals served every day.

Always love coming here. Good atmosphere staff are very attentive. Salome and Jason were amaizing very attentive and provided great suggestions from the menu. I had the mushroom risotto which was to die for 😍

Excellent restaurant.Great premises, beautiful art, nice tables and chairs and the overall atmosphere is magical.I had a great night with my fiancé.The service was flawless and also very helpful. Amazing selection of wines and very funny and prepared sommelier. The waiters were friendly and skilled. The only thing we would not give 5 is the food. We found the quality of what we ordered quite average. We definitely come back to try the meat, probably the best item on the menu. But being the menu limited, every plate should excellent. Definitely recommended for a date and also for families.

We spent our anniversary here after it was recommended by my partners parents who actually came here on one their first dates many years ago. They accommodated my booking and request to sit in the conservatory even though there was no availability online. The staff were all very friendly and the food was excellent. The fillet of beef was cooked to perfection for me. My partner had the stonebass which she enjoyed, this came with Bombay potato’s which were a surprisingly good addition. An excellent experience and we will definitely go back.

Lovely staff went over and above to make this birthday lunch for 12 special. Non intrusive but polite and attentive and met everyone's needs. Everyone's meal came out together and each dish was beautifully presented and delicious. Nothing was too much trouble and nothing was overlooked. LOVE this place! 😍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Modern elegance in a very cool and sharply trendy popular Islington establishment. The food choice is smallish and eclectic, beautifully presented and very good. Quite expensive for fairly light sophisticated fare.

A great dinning experience before the comedy show at angel’s comedy club. Location is great - 3min walk from angel station on northern line.The decor is modern and stylish. Guests are welcome at entrance and the staff are happy to put your coat away in their cloakroom.Dishes are delicate. We ordered one main each, two sides to share, one dessert to share. One sparkling water. The bill was £39 per person. So on the slightly high end.One star less is that the staff serving our bill was quite impatient, maybe because we didn’t order any wine. When we asked, “do you have any soft drink?” He gave us a surprised look and said, “we don’t have menu for that.” Other staff at entrance was friendly tho.We will still come back - just hope not meeting the unfriendly waiter.

Amazing experience over all! Elide,the hostess,very welcoming and friendly! We had a cocktail before dinner and it was the best espresso Martini,made by Martin, that I had in London. The food was amazing,the quality of the seafood was exceptional. The sea bream and the hake were perfectly cooked. The vegan dishes exceeded our expectations!. The staff very friendly and fun to interact with! One of the best restaurants to be in Angel!

We had an amazing wedding reception at Frederick’s back in August. I can’t recommend the venue enough for any type of party or event. The decor is great and required minimal additions from us which was a bonus. The food was outstanding and the service exceptional. All our guests commented on the fabulous food...they really have something for everyone covering all dietary requirements. Wide selection of wines on offer too.Another added bonus was being able to start off with a drinks reception in the Clarence room followed by dinner in the Club room, our guests enjoyed moving between the two spaces and making use of the gorgeous terrace.The team working on the day were great, nothing was too much trouble. Andreea and Karolina who we liaised with throughout the planning stages were fantastic, both so responsive in answering any queries we had and really made the the whole process seamless.

Lovely setting, extremely good value set menu for lunch and early dinner. Attentive and polite staff, delicious food. A real Islington institution.
