Il Gusto Pizzeria London in Islington

Great, friendly atmosphere. Good selection on menu. Suitable for all ages. Visited with 7 year old and happily finished meal and dessert! Would visit again.

I have just used Meerkat Movies 2 for 1 offer for 3x ppl 3 starters, 3 mains 2 pints and 2 soft drinks £66. I got the mixed grill Ill gusto.... I can't tell you how much I enjoyed my main meal and this alone I give the restaurant 5 stars the best chicken and steak I have ever had shewered... My taste bud was wanting more, and the veg that came with the meal absolutely seasoned and cooked to perfection. HONEST REVIEW, FROM A GENUINE PAYING TOURIST VISITING FROM YORKSHIRE.

Super friendly staff and amazing service. The food was absolutely gorgeous and all topped off by a complimentary Limoncello. Couldn't finish all my food, so they even gave me a box to take leftovers home. Highly recommend, can't wait to go back tonight.

Unfortunately it became one of our worst experiences of eating out in London. The waiter was extremely nice and our visit started in a good way, but then red wine came mixed with water and the food (salad with salmon and shrimps) was tasteless and did have unusual smell. The place was full, so probably other dishes are better, but we really wanted to disappear at some point…

I was not happy with my first experience with Il Gusto. I do not know what the in restaurant dining experience is like, but we ordered for delivery and were disappointed. The flavor of the food was decent, hence the three stars, but everything went down hill from there. A prompt delivery. The food was hot. The portions were minuscule and not worth the price paid. The flavor was decent, but I ordered penne with salchichas picante. There were exactly 8 pieces of finely chopped sausage in a meal filled with red and yellow peppers. The spaghetti carbonara was bland, despite the pieces of bacon. No Parmesan cheese and no plastic eating ware and no napkins. Definitely not my idea of take out service and we will not order from this restaurant again.

Very good restaurant and super friendly staff. I had lunch there and the food was very good (it needs to add some salt).

Open on Christmas. Served with a smile. Food was delicious and hot, and came quite quickly. Was so good we went back today. Highly recommend. Pricing is way better than most London places. Just a little bit from Paddington. Will be back next visit to London!

Waitress and waiter were exceptional. Went there twice. Food was top notch and felt like an authentic Italian experience - mind you I am half Italian so I am really looking out for this stuff.Calamari was fluffy and light. Rissoto was beautiful and aromatic. The pizza was a good cut between doughy and baked. Really felt like the chef was doing quite a job.There is a nice bar, reasonably priced.I had a gorgeous chocolate Italian ice cream dessert which I could easily rate almost perfect.Highly recommended.I gladly tipped the waiter.

We enjoyed our evening at Il Gusto in June 2021, a relaxed couple of hours enjoying a #cannelloni and #pizza plus a bottle of #merlot followed by a slice of New York cheesecake & sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream. Very friendly hosts plus it's super close to Paddington Station, which meant that we didn't have to rush for our train.Good simple Italian food that didn't break the bank.
