Indian Ocean Tandoori Restaurant in Islington

Ordered delivery waited almost an hour called and told they have no delivery drivers…..week later still waiting for a response from the manager about my refund so now posting a bad review because youve basically robbed me of £22worth of food paid by card aswel asked them to cancel the order so i get refund from justeat and they said no they cant cancel it or they wont get paid….am i missing something….? Why should you get paid for cooking food and not delivering it….. ALWAYS HAPPENS WHEN PAYING BY CARD SOMETHING HAPPENS MISSING ITEMS LATE ORDER DIFFERENT ITEMS INSTEAD OF WHATS BEEN ORDERED ETCAnd a week later still no reply from anyone

Food was well cooked and neatly packed we enjoyed our meal. Arrived early and still hot.

Do not order from this company, they delivered my order to another property and refused to send me out my original order or refund me my money. The ar on men.

Ordered from here for the first time and was really impressed. Starters, sides and breads were all excellent. Curries were classic tastes and good value, with the tandoori dishes perfectly cooked. We were one naan bread short on our order, but they had given us an extra main and side which we thoroughly enjoyed. Great first experience

Take-away meal, 1 Sept 2021. The premises are grubby and are in urgent need of a refit or deep clean. In hindsight, I should have read the 'signals' and left empty handed. In one word, horrific. I ordered a chicken curry and two side dishes. The main curry dish was unsavoury and the rice was stale. The onion bhajis were hard and inedible. While additional dishes were provided (a vegetable curry and side salad), this was unsolicited and unnecessary. Sadly, these items were also bland and not well presented. Avoid.

By far the best food we've had delivered in the area. New owners, they're brilliant, our food has never been late, and always wonderful quality. The garlic chilli chicken sauce is the absolute dog's danglers, we thoroughly recommend.

I don't really understand the bad reviews honestly. I am sorry if someone had a bad experience. I don't order via Just East and delivery is always quick. I've been ordering from Indian Ocean Tandoori for many years now and I've never had a problem so far. Infact I am going to order again tonight! Love their Biryani and Chicken Pathia.

Horrendous - worst food we've ever tasted. The chef's recommendation had chewy meat that couldn't be identified, swimming in oil' very soggy nan breads, vegetable side was a mushy mess The best thing about it was the delivery man who was very sweet. Never again!

We have been ordering from Indian Ocean for years and unfortunately we have moved out of the area no but would still order when we go back to the area. Never dissapointed with the food here, I'm half Indian so always have high expectations. We have tried a lot off the menu, all good. Generally order the prawn puree (the stopped doing it with king prawns a long time ago but still good),lamb dish and Korma which I'm not a fan off but tastes good here. Good flavours, not too spicy and not bland. The prices have always been good and so has the service. You always get a random bonus dish for free- the bombay potatoes are great! I look forward to when I am back in the area.

Have been going there for 5 years plus. Ordered from them today and they turn up at the wrong house and then it’s missing a Bombay potatoe and the free side dish.Call them up and their rude, calling us a liar saying that they definitely put it in there. They finely say that they will deliver us one and we have not received it.Completely disappointed, after using them for so many years. Will not be using them again after this as the chicken tikka masala is getting less and less every time.
