Very good and very helpful when selecting cheese. They know quite a lot about cheese and eating cheese and what cheese will suit your specific need for cheese. Great shop.

The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable to help you pick your cheese. The highbury shop is much smaller than the Marylebone one but it still has a nice selection of cheese for the neighborhood. It has a few seats inside for those that would like to sit down for some cheese but it is a very small store.

Cannot recommend here enough, moved to Highbury & Islington last year and have to stop myself going here too often! It never disappoints

Unpleasant buying experience from one of the guys there who wouldn’t allow the cheese to be sliced even though there was no queue at the time and I was spending £80 on cheese. He was also gossiping about clients in front of me. Certainly lost my business.

If you love cheese, this is a must! Great selection of cheese for any taste. Also you can stop for a coffe and croissant, or have a tasty toastie.

I had an awful experience where I had ordered a number of specific cheeses and received something else altogether ( less than the number that I wanted and not the correct cheese). They were understanding in acknowledging that it was not what I wanted and did not compel me to take them.

My partner and I take the dog on a 1.5hr pilgrimage, with La Fromagerie as the end destination. Fantastic array of cheeses; really friendly and knowledgable fromagers who recommend wonderful/new/interesting cheeses and great tips on how to best enjoy them.

Such a charming little cheese shop. It has a cheese room tucked at the back, with great cheeses from across Europe. Service was excellent, knowledgeable and warm.

This morning I bought a loaf of white sourdough bread. Came back home for lunch to discover that the loaf is at least 3 days old.(Sourdough has a shelf life of 5 to 7 days). Came back to the shop after one hour to bring them back the old loaf and they insisted (rudely) that was freshly baked this morning. After 5 minute of discussion trying to explain that the bread is clearly old (the crust is softer than the inside!) the lady that served my said (but, at least, is the taste good?), ?!?!? I didn't came back to ask my money back (which considering the price of the loaf 6ÂŁ would have been good!) but after waiting the line in the cold to buy a 6ÂŁ loaf, go home and find out that is not fresh, go back to complain in the cold, the least you can expect is a bit of understanding! RUDE STAFF, PRODUCT NOT FRESH, you can find better fresh bread anywhere else, avoid!

Fantastic selection of french cheese in the chilled back room, & an adorable front area (with 2 tables for outdoor seating on the sidewalks) for dining in or purchasing baked goods, breads & snacks.Menu is small, but the croissant & jam were delicious, & the service was great!
