Moro Restaurant in Islington

One of the unquestioned all time greats of London eating for me. Still fresh, still a true happy place. Almost everything on the menu is both generous and delicious, it all works incredibly well. Don't miss the soups, ask for what is good. Moro has been going strong for a long time now, and long may it continue to do so. I'll certainly be going back again and again.

Best menu ever tried in this restaurant this time and fantastic service. 26.02 update: nice once again although this time the service was very slow. Still very nice and polite.

Visited recently for a work Xmas party. A nice venue with friendly staff.We had some tapas between us as a starter which was good, the grilled chorizo in particular. I wasn’t a fan of the babaganoush personally, not because it tasted bad, I just don’t like the consistency of that dish.I had the Wood roasted pork belly for my main which was incredible. The trinxat side is almost bubble & squeak, which was also very good.For dessert I had Malaga raisin ice cream which is very very boozy.All in all a great experience and will definitely return.

I think I choose the right place for our dinner. Me with friends been there. Beautiful atmosphere, love the location, nice staff. Service was great. On top of that their food was so delicious n tasty. Variety of food n taste. Place is so cosy. After long time we enjoyed our dinner together. Thanks to to staff for making it. Hope back soon for another go.

Moro offer an absoluty divine Christmas set menu for groups of eight or more.I was so excited to enjoy each dish as it came that I completely forgot to take images for later.The selection of 5 starters to share were all delightful alongside their fluffy sourdough to finish the sauces.The stand out to me was the Sea Bream Ceviche with raw salad, such a fresh and zingy starter.Two other delights were the Charcoal grilled quail with winter tabbouleh as well as the Grilled leeks and artichokes.I was too excited to take a photo of my main but I had the Charcoal grilled Lamb with farika and pumpkin puree.Having sampled the Wood Roasted chicken I can recommend the Lamb if you fancy something rich however the chicken was succulent and not at all dry.For dessert I ordered the Yogurt cake which did not impress me.Thankfully a companion switched with me and I much enjoyed the Chocolate tart which was delightfully bitter.If you're after a little boozy treat the Sherry Ice cream is a strong contender, no need for a tipple afterwards.All in all a wonderful experience with great company, the staff were all so helpful, gracious and attentive to detail I cannot fault them.

Fantastic meal! I had the beetroot and black cumin soup; the chargrilled lamb with warm potato and feta salad, roasted beet root with hot mint sauce and for dessert the rose and cardamon ice cream. The lamb was cooked to perfection!The service is as top notch. I would definitely come back to eat here again the next time I am in London

Excellent food, staff and location. Highly recommend this place. The menu changes every month I think so make sure you check it before you go. Undoubtedly the highlight for us was the starter pigeon with garlic sauce.

Cannot recommend enough. Worth the money, left the restaurant feeling very full and happy. Great location and interior. Highly recommend.

Haven't been here since before covid but it didn't disappoint! The bread was (as always) amazing, dipped in olive oil and with baba ganoush which was also very good!We also tried the quail with beetroot and pistachios which was yummy.For main I had the pork belly, a succulent piece of meat and amazing potatos with all the right seasonings.My partner had the cod which was chargrilled, perfectly cooked and with good sides.It is a slightly more expensive restaurant but if you want to spend a bit more and have amazing quality mediterranian food then you should definitely go.

Such a lovely time - excellent food, friendly service and great atmosphere in one of the most fun streets in London. Menu wise, food was mostly delicious: chicken was succulent and flavorful and lamb and aubergine was divine with the homemade flatbread. Didn’t love the artichoke dish, which was not as hearty as the other plates (all of which were really generously sized). Great alcohol menu, with an emphasis on (of course) Spanish wines and spirits.Our server was helpful, gave us honest advice and was happy to answer everything we asked! And the booking team was equally kind. Would most definitely recommend, and not just because they gave me free bread and olive oil.
