New East House in Islington

Got part of the order wrong and had to wait ages for the correct item to be delivered, by which time the rest of the food was cold...A decent restaurant would have made the complete order again so all of the food was hot....Not this restaurant....Plus, they wanted the incorrect item back, no doubt to give another customer!!

Popped by and just ordered a beef mixed vegetable and it was excellent. Might just be my life experience but felt totally at home here, love the look of the restaurant. Definitely recommend and will come back again for more!

Boyfriend and I went on a Saturday evening because we wanted hot pot to warm up after a cold day. The décor is lovely; clean and modern but with traditional vibes, and the table/booth layout feels cosy and intimate.For hot pot buffet, you choose your base, and choose a variety of items to cook in it for a set price. It's not made clear whether you can order more if you finish your first lot, but you will be charged if you over-order and have leftover meat.We went for half mushroom and half Szechuan chilli hotpot base. Both were lovely and so warming. For items we had lotus root, black fungus, king prawn, fatty beef, squid, and pak choi, all which was high quality and tasty. The prawns were massive and you get a good amount.Service could have been a little bit better, but I really enjoyed my meal here and would come back.

Had the hot pot buffet. The food aren’t super fresh. The staff is fine. I won’t say bad but not very worth the price.

Last week 7th, 8th, and 9th September 2021, we partnered with Ling and her team to provide lunch to our delegates across our 3 days conference, we held at LSO St Lukes. Wanting to provide our delegates with something special compared to boring sandwiches, Chinese for lunch was a big hit! Ling and her team were very accommodating and it was wonderful to support a small business in the local area. I would highly recommend this restaurant, food is delicious and her team are friendly and very accommodating. Thank you Ling, Sam @SocialDay
