New London Cafe in Islington

Not the best customer service. Quite pricey for their quality,charging £1.00 extra for salad inside a sandwich and not even having the basics salad.(I could love to pay if the food is there)Using hands everywhere like the till for example and then straight away touching my food with unwashed hands..Also (food fridge poor conditions and view)Good luck

Friendly welcome upon entry, quick seating, amazing coffee, vibrant menu, fast service, delicious food (we had toasted brioche and the eggs and avo - I had extra mushroom and it was pukka)This was our first choice for breakfast as travelers in the city, it didn't disappoint 👌Don't go to the breakfast club come here!!!

Sadly this cafe has really gone down in quality over the years. We used to go hear when it first opened (~2010/11) and it seems to be now run by different owners.The brunch I ordered was OK, at best. The poached eggs were not poached, they were just soft boiled soggy eggs. And general cleanliness is not good at all. The seats new the window next to the entrance are absolutely grubby and disgusting.I also noticed, several times, one of the staff rearranging / touching the bread (baguettes, buns, rolls, etc.) using his bare hands! And while making sandwiches reaching in to the salad boxes with bear hands. Forget covid, it should be common practice to wear gloves when touching/preparing food!It's a shame though, as the cafe is quite big and there's plenty of space in the back to work from...

This place is a good old fashioned London cafe. Everything from the decor to the menu is old school and I loved it. The food was very tasty and there was a lot of choice to choose from. The juices were also great. Service could have been a little quicker but it was clear they were very busy as its such a popular spot. Great value for a good hearty breakfast.

Usually Brilliant service however the staff on 28/09/2021 at 10am- 10:30am. Mix two separate orders a veg and Pork. However calling to explain the service to staff, they we very rude, hung up, absolutely sickening to have paid people like this to manage my food. Male staff said he treats all his customers this disgusting.

I ordered the eggs and avocado with a latte.The latte was lovely. Unfortunately the poached eggs were terrible and not fresh at all! The first picture is what I ordered (their own photo) the second one is what I got. The eggs were definitely old and did not hold together at all. They were also covered in a spice (possible chilli powder) I then informed the staff I would not be paying for this after trying to get their attention previously. At the till they spoke in their own language and were rude after I had complained about the eggs. Coffee was lovely but will definitely not be going back for food.

Really good food, great selection on the menu at affordable prices, generous portions, friendly staff and quick service. Located just across the road from the lovely Alwyne Castle pub. Four of us ate lunch with drinks and the bill came to £34. Will definitely go back and try other foods on the menu. My son’s loved the pancakes.

We had an English breakfast and pancakes, they were absolutely delicious! The service was fast and super friendly! The place isn't big, but very cozy and cute. We'll definitely go back more times.

The food was very well priced, filling and tasty (although nothing special if I‘m being fair). The crepes were huge and a really good dessert choice! Great for a quick morning stop - but no wow factor to keep me going back again and again.
