Me and my gluten eating boyfriend chose to go to Niche for an early valentines lunch. The food was v filling in a good way. We both got the burgers and I warned him that the bread won’t be the same as he is use to. To my surprise he liked the gluten free burger saying that it was very similar to regular ones. We did not have space for desert but we will be back to try even more of the dishes. I did not have to mention that I needed gluten free or that I was coeliac once which was very nice for a change.

Even though I don't have an intolerance, this place was perfect for both my partner (who has celiacs) and I. She always has an issue with choice in places we visit so Niche was the perfect place! Too perfect one might say......it was a surprise for her birthday and she was so overwhelmed with the choice that she wanted EVERYTHING on the menu. Thankfully she decided on her choices and we were both so happy with what she was presented with. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were fantastic and friendly. The entire place had a cosy vibe and the location was perfect. We will 100% be returning......thank you Niche and the staff 😊 you made my partner very happy, finally a place that caters for her needs!

Mediocre food, small portions and expensive. My burger was overcooked and not seasoned; my partner's potato cake was nothing special; the wine was vinegary. Didn't bother with dessert. Appreciate that it's nice to be able to eat with confidence, but when you leave knowing you could have stayed at home, cooked yourself something much tastier and saved yourself £70 it leaves a sour taste.

Absolutely amazing place. My daughter is coeliac so just knowing she could have ANYTHING on the menu made her day and we didn't have to worry about any possible cross contamination. The staff are brilliant too, our train into London was late so phoned to change reservation and it wasn't a problem which was brilliant as they were packed out. Clair is the angel of Islington, so wonderful and understanding as I was highly stressed. The only issue I had was that the amorous couple sat next to us were more interested in eating each other than their food but that's not the restaurants fault. I would definitely give this an A1 rating and the cheese donuts are to die for

Niche is one of the loveliest restaurants I've ever been too. While I'm not gluten intolerant, the person that I went with is. It's hard to find alternatives consistently so I am very glad to have found this place. The food was divine and the service with very friendly and polite. A wonderful and wide range of food is available and even a special menu if the theatre next door is playing something. Absolutely will go again!

My partner ordered 'fish super' as a surprise meal because this sounded like a nice GF treat and we like the concept. However i'm very disappointed so keen to write a review so others realise the online order is nowhere near as good as the restaurant - my main reasons are outlined below to help:1. ParcelForce was used to deliver, the box came 1-day late as the courier claimed to attempt the delivery but we were home all day and no one tried the buzzer or called. The contents were completely damaged despite being well packed in sturdy box and arrived defrosted and at room temperature on arrival.2. The sauces despite being in circular plastic sealed containers had leaked oil over all other contents so everything was oily.3. Food wise I was bitterly disappointed and I think this might be to do with the concept of freezing food for too long or even thinking its acceptable to freeze food. The white fish was tasteless, almost like it was old and had lost all its flavour, the chips were soaked in oil and squashed and we threw them out after trying one chip each. Its worth adding we have always wanted to go to this restaurant as its in the neighbourhood always busy but we definitely do not recommend anyone orders food online and personally I will likely never go in to the restaurant now.Added later: Just to respond to this Restaurant's comment: I tried to call multiple times today, but no answer. Very happy to discuss with you and share feedback and I will try back again tomorow. I do think my feedback is honest, fair and useful for others. Please note the food was not warm, it was fully thawed but cold/fridge temperature and the instructions pointed out that it should last thawed for around 48hours. I wouldn't want anyone to experience this (and its not just about the damage of the box). Thank you.

Absolutely phenomenal food!! 100% gluten free!! Been twice now!! Amazing staff! Great atmosphere! Great service! Will definitely be going again! First time I went with family and the second time I went with my girlfriend! Definitely my go to restaurant for a night out especially as having coeliacs disease has made nights out really hard and they've made it so easy for people like myself!!I used to find myself with only one choice off each places menu. At Niche I can have anything at all! They can even do doggybags if you're too full!

Honestly bit disappointed, felt bad cause they gave us a free glass of prosecco for my girlfriends birthday but honestly the food was pretty average. The Yorkshire pudding was horrendous and the? Gravy was tasteless. The food was super greasy not easy on both of our digestive tracts. Sorry! The service was nice, but I can't say I recommend the food

Lovely restaurant interior, great options on the menu (many vegan options too) and polite, warm stuff. I’ll definitely be going back to try things on the menu I didn’t get to this time.

Incredible food. Ate here because my sister is a celiac and we had an amazing time. Never been a fan on GF food but this restaurant has truly changed my mind. The food was so tasty, the portions were perfect and the staff were amazing and very hospitable. 10/10 would recommend to anyone GF or not.
