We went to visit this pub on St Patricks day, thinking that because the landlady was Irish, that she would play Irish music all the way through until closing time. Despite various requests from the patrons to do so, she grudgingly only played the odd Irish song. Most people in the pub, including myself, were disappointed to say the least. Next year I will be visiting the two other local pubs, who both had live Irish acts in the evening.

The best roast in Archway/Tufnel P/ Kentish town. I should know I must've tried them all and I always come back here. How do they make the gravy so tasty? And the veggies seasoned to perfection .. .Have been coming to this pub for years and over several different management teams and the food, ambience and vibe has never changed. It's cosy, friendly and has the best curated playlist ever. You can't not seat dance 😁

Food was ok but waitress extremely bossy, moving us from table to table according to her convenience, overcleaning around and interrupting conversations. Prices and food were just ok. My Caesar salad had charred bacon, not great. Music keep going in a loop of repetition.

This is the best pub myself and friends have been to ever……..and we are 50. Five stars all around. Fantastic

Visited with a friend on a busy Friday night. There are plenty seats available, including front and back garden. We received very friendly and attentive service from every single member of staff, drinks arrived quickly. Food took a while but it was certainly worth the wait.We thought of ordering Nachos as a starter and then a burger each. What we received completely overcame our expectations. You know these usually small pub portions of nachos which have vague amount of all the good bits and a mountain of the corn chips? Well, not in Oak & Pastor, ladies and gentlemen. This was the best pub nachos I've ever had in London in over 5 years. Every element was served generously and tasted great! Now, the burgers.. oh boy... Both the Pulled pork and the Katsu chicken were mouthwatering and super delicious. Each burger came with a big portion of perfectly cooked, crispy, and delicious fries. The overall mood and atmosphere were great throughout the evening. The lavatories were well maintained, and in my opinion up to a usual London pub standard. Given it was a busy Friday night, the cleanliness was also surprisingly satisfying.Government's Covid-19 guideline observed. Will definitely return next time I'm around Archway. Thank you, once again, for a pleasant experience.

Loved it! We recently moved to the area and we were looking for a good Sunday roast and here we are! A delicious, freshly prepared, home-made feel, big portion Sunday roast pork belly with all the trimming! The pub is cosy with a great vibe and the staff and the manager are very attentive and friendly. I couldn't fault it. I absolutely highly recommend it, I am certain that you won't be disappointed.

After a frantic search to find a Sunday roast late on a Sunday evening after a few fails, we were pleasantly greeted on the phone by a lady telling us they were still serving roast. All I can say is wow! This was the biggest roast we've ever eaten in London (and we are Sunday roast connoisseurs)We didn't have to ask for more gravy because the dish was generously covered.Roast beef with crispy Yorkshire pudding, two whole carrots, piles of savoy cabbage, Cauliflower cheese, crispy roast potatoes and a pile of beef, mine medium rare and other plate was rare as requested.Attention to detail perfect, fresh flowers throughout. Even a hilarious side confession area which would make for a nice cosy date or to confess.Highly recommend.Massive screen where we watched the world cup comfortably

Came in for a Sunday roast a couple of weeks ago and the whole thing exceeded my expectations to be completely honest! Really loved the decor and chilled out vibe, the staff were super nice and the roast was awesome (plenty of food on the plate including lots of gravy and a nice assortment of veggies...winner!). Might make this my go-to local ;)
