perfection (you’re not allowed to take any photos and they mind if you do…)

Authentic omakase sushi joint run by a Japanese couple. The six-seat joint is tiny but very cozy and intimate once you are seated. The ingredients are fresh, well flavored and without overly fancy and pretentious details and toppings. The counter seats give you visibility to the chef’s craft and the hospitality was lovely. They also have s good selection of sake. The phone reservation was a pain and it took me half an hour of endless dialing to get through. Expect around 350 euros for two.

This is non-doubted the BEST and MOST AUTHENTIC Japanese restaurant in London. It was so good that I even forgot to post after dining there. The pictures below are taken in December, therefore any subtle changes may be altered to the menu as it is very dépendant on seasonal food.I have always been a JP food lover and especially a sushi lover. Compared to all best sushi s I have had in Tokyo and New York restaurants, Sushi Tetsu is still among the top choices, let alone the fairly few competitors here in London. Not only the taste amazed me, the drinks and service are also delightful. The chief is very nice and willing to have conversations with customers. They also take full consideration on personal flavors. One thing that is worth noted is the procedure of reservation. Due to the limited seats (only 7 seats and only 2 groups of people can be served each day), it requires patience to book the seat and do remember to call on Monday mornings to reserve for the NEXT week. It also requires prepayment through emails after booking. You can indicate your favorite sushi kind or special request. They do very good job on paying enough attention to each customer request.Overall, this is a very enjoyable experience and it is mostly suited for dating or occasions. You will love this place if you are a sushi person!

Beyond a doubt one of the most delicious sushi places in London. Food so tasty you will dream of the intricate yet comforting flavours for days and nights to come. Worth every penny and phone call.

Most amazing tradicional Japanese dining experience. The 200 calls long wait and expensive prices are worthed every minute and pennies. The whole experience is being words, it's like you are in a secret only known to very few. Bear in mind it is not a meal, it is a tasting experience, meaning, they wont fill your belly. But if it is whithin your means I would recommend 1000 times

Amazing experience.Very difficult to get a reservation but it is the best sushi I have ever tastedThe restaurant is very small, with only 7 seats, the staff are very friendly and will talk and explain things to you during the meal. All the dishes are delicious and you get to watch it being made in front of you.The sushi is truly the best.Looking forward to the next time!

Hands down the best sushi and omakase experience you can get in the whole of the UK. The quality of ingredients is second to none, and the atmosphere is so intimate and friendly you get to know everyone at the bar. Staff are attentive and the owners promote conversation and really get to know you and everyone else. In between each plate you spend time talking and watching Toru do what he does best. If you can manage to book, this is something you don’t want to miss. I will definitely be coming back, and hopefully become a regular!

Absolutely top class experience. Not only was the food sublime and traditional, chatting with the chef and his wife, who manages drinks and reservations, makes the whole experience feel like you’re at someone’s home as their guests. Try their range of selected sake and shochu, and let the chef handle your food for omakase. Sashimi platter was a great choice. Damage came up to 130£ for omakase and 3 drinks.

I have tried 88 times to made a phone call for this restaurant reservation. The reservation only open at 11am-2pm every monday. It’s only 7 seats sushi counter. I tried Omakase course for both Sashimi and Sushi(Sushi only also available). Thanks to Chef Takahashi-San and Harumi for this touched dining experience.

took my boyfriend here for his birthday, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! I had to call over 100 times to reserve seats, and the lady on the phone was very kind a polite. When arriving to the restaurant it was very welcoming! It is very small and the waiter with the drinks did have to squeeze past the chairs, but it did add to the personal and awesome experience. The food was absolutely outstanding, we ordered the sushi omakase as we were both new to sushi and unsure what to order. The waitress was incredibly kind and clearly explained how to eat the sushi, and the chef was also very lovely explaining what fish we were about to eat. I’ve never eaten such heavenly food in my life, it was so balanced and I honestly can’t explain how good it was!! It is very expensive, but worth it!
