This was my favourite Indian takeaway not any more Absolutely terrible placed a order online via their website - paid for the order online, waited patiently for hour and half for no food to arrive - called the restaurant and no answer, now go to wait for up to 7 days for refund to be processed. very disappointed totally let down and left hungry, if you want food and don't want to be like old Mother Hubbard with nothing to eat order from another Islington restaurant

It's been a number of years since I have been to th state of India and although they have had an a staff change, and the the interior has had a refit and the small bar at the entrance has moved. I felt the restaurant has moved forward and the refurbishment has had a positive effect as the atmosphere was good and the food and service was amazing. Please try this restaurant as I forgot years ago what made it brilliant and the meal was amazing. Not packed out like Upper Street, but that's a good thing!
