What a great little discovery in the neighborhood! Authentic Japanese place with a great vibe, lovely service, and - most importantly - delicious food. The lunch bentos are phenomenal; I got the unagi one and every component is excellent. The tempura was out of this world (isn’t it always?) as well. Can’t wait to come back and try the okonomiyaki!

Wonderful traditional atmosphere.The warm sake was delicious, and the chicken katsu curry nicely cooked. The waitresses were chatting a lot with each other, and they forgot to take our order for a long while, as well as give us the check at the end of the meal. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic Japanese experience. 😊

Really love this place. Food is always great and really good value for money. Its a little cramped, which my daughter argues in favour of, adding to its charm. Me, I'm undecided, sometimes a little uncomfortable for me, but can depend on where I'm sat and how I feel at the time. Have always had a lovely time in there all the same. Food a definite plus. Recommend booking ahead or turn up at opening time.

The quality of the food has fallen a lot. Poor quantity of sushi - just rice. Takoyaki without filling and cold, the chicken had a weird flavor...not worth it.

The decor is cosy and intimate whilst the food are a good portion size. The staff are polite and attentive. It looks like they specialise in bento boxes and sushi.

Looking for an authentic izakaya experience in the heart of Angel? Then you must try Tenshi! The food served there is the closest to what we ate in Japan and it’s very good value too. Try their Miso Ramen and Chicken Karaage. You won’t regret it!

Had Takoyaki (Octopus balls) to start, Okonomiyaki (savory cabbage pancake) with prawns for a main and Hojicha (Charcoal roasted tea) to drink.It was all excellent, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere as well.

Good covid measures, food was tasty, but felt the soft shell crab maki was not the freshest. There was also a price change on the system but not the menu for 2 items! Pretty annoying as they didn't say until we challenged the receipt and asked for the menu again.
