Very aggressive behaviour from a member of the bar staff.I ordered a pint and bar tender topped up a previously poured pint that was sitting under the taps. When I asked how long it had been there, he got very aggressive and insisted he had just poured it - this was not the case, I clearly saw what he had done.Given his aggressive attitude, I just said it was fine and took the beer but I would not visit this bar again. Completely unacceptable behaviour on the both counts.

Does it have to be so loud, or am I just old? The staff were wearing earpieces, to no discernible benefit to the service, and the table of obnoxious young media types next to ours stole our food.

Fantastic venue for few pre dinner drinks before Exmouth Mkt. Had booked a ttable for drinks for 9 people on a cold Sarturday evening. Staff were welcoming and efficient as they sorted out logistics. Real old school family type feeling in the pub with dogs walking around. Great place.

Lovely old fashion pub with fantastic food and great real ale beers. Would recommend booking a table upstairs as gets very busy and noisy. And it off the beaten track.

I associate places with the experience we had vs the place itself. My partner and I went here for a couple of drinks and food. They have the best halloumi fries I’ve had till date in London. we had a great time and it’s close to home so we’d go again!

Really nice local English pub in Clerkenwell Green. Great spot to sit down and enjoy a beer if you’re around the area.Very spacious with tables distributed around two floors and outside sitting. The staff is helpful and friendly.Standard Menu with beer, wine and soft drinks, as for food, I’ve tried the “beyond meat” burger and fish & chips both were good, not a gastro-pub.

The Crown Tavern📍43 Clerkenwell Green, Farringdon, London EC1R 0EG🚇 Farringdon🍺 £5.10 Pravha❤️ Prior to arriving at the @thecrowntavernec1 I had quiet and eerie five minute walk from Farringdon Station. There was literally no one around, it was like the scene from 28 days later when Cillian Murphy was walking over Westminster Bridge, just for your info I wasn’t wearing a hospital gown and carrying a bag of Chinese takeaway. Anyway, I walked up the road from the station which normally has a few bods knocking about and found myself looking over my shoulder thinking what the hell. Not that it’s overly busy when the suits have gone home but It was really clear that there was a lack of appetite for people to venture out, understandably so bearing in mind the world we are currently living in.After my paranoia episode I got to the top of the road and turned the corner to arrive at Clerkenwell Green and was greeted by a lovely view of the pub. I was a bit early for opening so I stood outside the door as if I was at Harrods waiting for the boxing day sale to start but I hadn’t been to the pub in months and was itching to get in. The door opened and I was greeted by a nice fella who asked if I had booked which I hadn’t but he was more than happy to let me in and take my details for track and trace. I took a pew and ordered a beer, the only stipulation was that you couldn’t stay for more than three hours or go galavanting around the pub for obvious reasons. The team here were really friendly and the lady who brought over my pint did it with a smile on her face. This boozer has a traditional feel with a modern twist here and there. The big bonus is the outside space at the front of the pub, there’s loads of tables to soak up the grandeur of the environment you are sitting in and catch a few rays while your at it..This boozer is definitely a pub for all occasions, may it be for Friday afterwork drinks, a bit of grub with the Mrs on a weekend lunchtime or some nutter standing at the door at 11.55am on a Saturday morning pretending to be Cillian Murphy..📊 Information correct on visiting 18/07/20.

A cozy pub with above par bites and decent beer options. The haloumi fries (ideally dipped in a jus) were fantastic, but all the bar snacks were solid. Lots of outdoor seating options.

The Crown (review on food at the end) is a lovely neighbourhood pub in the heart of Clerkenwell. It’s cozy in the winter and perfect in the summer with its outdoor space. It’s a beautifully decorated pub and the staff is friendly and attentive. They have a standard beer and wine selection. It’s not a hot spot; it’s a relaxed, comfortable pub for after work. It’s our neighbourhood spot and we like to pop in now and then.As for food, it’s not a highlight. It’s pricey for what you get. We were disappointed with our recent lunch there, and decided that we will go here just for drinks in the future.
