The best fancy-ish restaurant Iāve been in London. The complimentary bread and bitter tasting olive oil was so delicious (I splurged on a bottle they sell, it was absolutely worth it). Immaculate service. My favourite dish was the grilled seabass stuffed with bulgur - such an interesting combination but it works very well! Very healthy too.I also canāt compliment their chicken soup pouches enough - it was expensive but the best chicken soup Iāve ever had (including my Turkish momās, which is hard to beat). Cured my cold in no time.Oh, and a special shoutout for their Tahini sesame biscuits!Honestly, the only place Iāve been in London so far where I spent more than average and didnāt feel like a scam.

This is the best place for Shakshuka! The service was amazing and juices and fresh mint tea were delicious. I loved the communal long table and you could tell that everyone visiting was really enjoying their time. Perfect place for a meet up brunch with friends! šš¼šš¼

Shaksuka was great.. but the grilled chicken on lunch menu.. I am not so sure.. because it was cold and pink inside!!. We asked one of the staffs if it's served cold.. and they said yes.. if you don't want cold chicken, don't order it. it was bit weird to us having cold chicken.. but the staffs there were everyone so friendly and kind

I enjoyed an evening meal at Ottolenghi's for my first time, mainly for the novelty of the interesting tastes and combinations; but there were some vital flaws. The starters were all only cold "salads", but with the amazing compensation of tangy Middle Eastern ingredients and spices. But the French beans were almost raw and so (for me) inedible-- this is the one vegetable you need to at least half-cook to enjoy any flavour. My main of cod was nicely undercooked, which I liked, and my friend's sliced lamb was delightfully tender, pink, and served with a sweet sauce (pomegranate-based, if I remember). But where are the side dishes of veg? There were none on offer at all.And I was disappointed that all the desserts on the menu were various cakes-- nothing creamy, frothy or light (which life should be). I did, however find a small , light "takeaway" cheesecake in their window, which our efficient and friendly waiter put on a plate for me (and which cost me far less). So go to Ottolenghi's for an affordable big occasion, but don't expect a normal meal-- it gets pretty weird. But worth exploring, and going back to.

I had been to Ottolenghiās a few times in the past and it had been consistently very good. My last visit, however, was even better. The food was so good it took me on a sort of a journey. A journey of flavours and textures. Service was friendly, efficient, attentive and personal. The atmosphere was calm not quiet with a nice vibe. Will be back.

Nice place to visit, the staff are thoughtful and friendly, although seemingly stretched very thin, they have so much to do before they have a chance to get to you! We chuckled at the "sharing size plated", here "sharing size" means "small, you'll need two each". Not the definition I'm used to ;) main course was interesting and had some good tastes and textures, but didn't really wow me, but the cake! Oh god, the cake was worth the journey alone. And more than enough reason for a return visit!

Fantastic vegetarian dishes, for instance an unexpected charred broccoli main with miso muhammara and coconut pan; interesting wine list as well! And service was super nice and helpful. Will come back!

Been there many times as I love there cakes and salads. Tried different types of cakes and salads and most of them are delicious. Love their aubergine salad and shakshuka. Their coffee is really good as well. Staff always friendly and helpful.

Incredible experience here. Had an amazing first date which went super well, possibly securing a second. Great sharing menu with good wine reccomendations from staff. In terms of food got the beef open kebab shish, goat cheese ravioli which was delicious, the raw fish and a salad on the side - miso/tahine eggplants which were tasty. Great atmosphere with the candles and also the option to have communal tables. Will be coming back here.

Went for a casual lunch (no reservation). The main and salads were fresh and nicely balanced; dessert, while beautiful in presentation, was a real let-down. The ingredients listed miso and tahini, but the only hint of sesame I got was from the crunchy sesame topping - otherwise, it was £6 for a small slice of what effectively is banana bread with frosting.I was not impressed with the atmosphere. It very much felt like "here's some food on a plate" rather than a lovely meal. Had to wave a fair few times to get some more water and milk for my coffee (though I had asked for both up-front). I think there are better lunch options in the neighborhood!
